I started keeping Aquatic snails years ago. I now have Land Snails, whom I enjoy. I have generations of them. I also keep snakes which I love. Snails, land and fresh water, salt water are so very tiny and fragile when hatched. I am 73 now, and never harm snails, slugs, snakes in my garden. Love to watch my snails eat by scraping their food with their radulas. These are not company for everyone, but if their slow, humble, interesting nature attracts you, they give you hours of calm entertainment.
I noticed that the snails gathered like barbecue kebabs on the Moringa branches during the winter. So now that I have a few pet ones, I give them Moringa leaves and sticks.
I own 6 garden snails, there very interesting to watch beside being slow, they have no problem from me putting them on my hand and there very friendly! And cute!
I found the cutest smallest baby snail the other day--the size of a mustard seed if not slightly smaller. I let it rest in my begonia leaf that curls at the edges like a protective bowl. Then when the snail is big enough, I'm picking them off and tossing them in the neighbor's garden....
😂 caught 2 snails and put them in an old terrarium and put 2 small spider plants in it. I noticed a pocket against the wall under the ground with babys in it. I was so confused over them being buried like that
I love snails so much and I thinck some people just think they are a pest and anoying pest but I now they can be a pest but snails help the ecosistom and with out snails the earth will be adisder
Despite the fact I’m growing on snails, I cannot seem to like slugs. I still hate them. I think it’s fear of parasites. Plus I like the shells of snails.
Are used to have pet snail but my mom when I was at school, she would throw them at fences he told me to do that but I don’t do it because nails are really cute
06:25 #17 is misleading. There are fresh water species like the Apple Snail - Pomacea canaliculata, Mystery snail - Pomacea bridgesii, or the Assassin Snail - Anentome helena to name a few. 06:56 That is an example of a female freshwater snail. 08:54 #25... you call these snails "sea snails." They are freshwater... not sea snails.
Sorry, but #3 is factually inaccurate. Snails and slugs are the same scientifically, as "slugs" have evolved multiple times, and some slugs do have shells that are reduced or internalized.
Here's more facts. 1. I hate garden snails. We have to spray around our area because they get bad. 2. Snails carry parasites and diseases. They eat dead animals and other fowl things. 3. They're invasive. Especially in gardens. They're in our trees, all over our house, on outdoor toys and bikes, on our shoes, outdoor furniture and gardening and motor tools. I dont allow my son to touch them because they are disgusting. He's not allowed to kill them either because their dead bodies attract more snails that cannibalize the dead one.
Humans carry parasites and diseases. We eat dead animals and other very foul things. We're incredibly invasive and more catastrophically destructive to the biosphere than any other lifeform past or present.
I remember when I was 4 with my friend we listened to some hardcore emo chemical romance and wanted to do some edgy shit and we killed a snail and right after it our souls left our bodies never fucked w animals or hurt one ever again after tht 😭😂😂
