Hi Martin, thanks for your video. I have a question for you : how tall are you ? because I bought a SportGlide 2 weeks ago and as I'm 6'2" tall, I just replaced the stock windshiled by a 12" one ... and that's terrible, very unpleasant.
@@Philippe-yb2rl hello mate, I’m 5’6. I tried a couple of different screens and I guess it depends what you’re looking for. I found the screen with less buffeting was in fact the stock screen as the air was clean. The 12” freedom shield was very good quality but at 70mph + I felt buffeting at the top of my head. The thing that bothered me the most was the fairing was designed for a small screen and not for a 12”+ screen and I noticed the fairing shaking at higher speeds and that concerned me. I only tended to use the 12” screen in the colder weather as it gave me much better protection. I’ve since sold the Sport Glide but have to say it’s a great bike, I had 3 years of enjoyment from it. Hope that’s of some help. UA-cam is full of people looking for the perfect screen and I guess we are all different and looking for slightly different things
Lovely bike. Good heads up with the screen. It's a bit dear but you get what you pay for. Nice new helmet. Would be interested in hearing your thoughts on differences on new and old. Maybe worth another vlog.
Hi, I currently have two helmets a Shoei RYD (not sure they still make it) and the Shoei Neotec 2 I am wearing in this video. Both great helmets, top quality and very computable. However the Neotec 2 has now been replaced with the Shoei Neotec 3 so although I really like the idea of a video comparing them, I should have thought of that while they were still current. Think I missed the boat on that one.
Nice one the bike looks fab too been thinking about Harleys lately starting to find my 4 cylinder a bit weighty and I'm on the balls of my feet so thinking of a lower bike . 👍
Wonderful review mate! I was looking to get the Memphis Shade but you just changed my mind! By the way you’re bike looks amazing! (I’m copying a lot from yours) 😂😂😂
Hi Martin, I bought my Sport Glide in September so now its time to customise before spring😉. I bought windshield from motea before I saw your episode about this 😃. For me that windshield isn’t very bad (I’m 5.8 tall) but I have a lot of noise which is not very good when you make a long distance trip. Now I see that you bought another one from US. It’s taller and I was almost ready to buy it but I watched one more video where the owner said that it doesn’t work as he expected. He is 5.9 tall, so as you can see I have two completely different opinions and I’m confused . So I was wondering wether it would be possible to meet Up on our bikes so I could test it Out ?

I’m 5ft 6 and I’m flat footed on the sport glide. Although it is 300kg but low centre of gravity and at 71 I find it easy to manage.

Thank you, its comments like this that have inspired me to do the videos. Im just so pleased the videos are of use👍
