It’s permitted.. we hear and we obey We don’t need to even justify I hate that some parts of the deen our own Muslims feel abit “ooo not sure about that” what kind of nonsense Who are you to say no that’s not right when Allahs permitted it NO! We hear and we obey Allahs permitted it Same with marriage age.. I know a lot of Muslims that have a problem with the age but samī naa wa atā naa end of discussion! Lots of Muslims on twitter try to mock people aged 25 for marrying someone 18 wallahi it baffles me because then what are you trying to say about our beloved rasulullah (pbuh) Same with concubines it’s permitted and there’s a wisdom behind it.. as the speaker has mentioned
Indeed, the core issue is the inferiority complex to secular materialist ideologies, which we have to realise were built upon denial of the concept of revelation in the first place. From the consequences of those affected by that is that they start becoming apologist and taking these secular materialist ideas as an 'aqidah' without realising, such that those ideas become a yardstick to judge and explain away parts of REVELATION FROM ALLAH, when it should be the other way around. You can see how the influence of the Eurocentric societies condition people to subconsciously believe that what we have of revealed texts from our Creator is mere 'fairy tales' and 'mythology' (and refuge with Allah is sought), hence why many Muslims unwittingly downplay parts of the Qur'an and Sunnah. Meanwhile, what they (the Eurocentric societies) have from their materialist philosophies and pseudoscience (specifically the way they pose their speculative theories about evolution and cosmology as 'science') is posed as 'true knowledge', leading to Muslim apologists taking that as a yardstick to reinterpret our revelation. However, the reality is that it's the other way around. Another by-product of this inferiority complex is being too concerned with trying to please the non-Muslims, when they (at least those who want to remain upon kufr) will never be pleased with us until WE turn to THEIR religion (i.e. their pleasure is dependent upon how much of our religion we do away with). Reflect on that verse of Surah Baqarah (2:120), and then realise that those who criticise us from the non-Muslims (whom the apologists are trying to please) see through all that apologist rhetoric anyway (rather it only gets them a step closer to what they REALLY want), as they will just continue to make us to do away with more of our religion until none of it remains, may Allah guide us all.
Jazakum Allahu khayran!! Alhamdulilah for our deen it is perfectly just and fair in every way. I have a question about this issue as I don’t know much about it, if a child is born from the relations between a Muslim and his slave, is the child born free and does he have the name of the father and inherit or does the child have a different ruling than children born in a marriage? I apologise for my ignorance I just want to learn, baarak Allahu feekum
If the child is born free and his father recognizes him, he becomes a normal free child and his mother becomes a umm walad. An umm walad cannot be sold or given as a gift but she can still be forcibly married (all 4 madhhabs agree on this) to another slave/free man (although this is makruh) and if she has children with him, they become slaves to the original master (in addition to the fact that the mother would be separated from her first son by marrying another slave). That is why in the Ottoman Empire slavery was so perpetuated even with the umm walad. It must also be taken into account that using contraceptives without the slave's permission is perfectly halal (which is not the case with the wife) and that if the child dies in a spontaneous abortion or at birth, the woman can be sold or gifted again. . In the Ottoman Empire the absence of mulattos was due exactly to this... The masters refused to recognize their black children and killed them many times (there were no qisas or diyya if a master killed a slave by agreement of the 4 madhabs ). Luckily, slavery will never exist again. These types of questions don't make sense.
I forgot another detail, nafaqa (alimony) towards a slave is not obligatory (although it is recommended by several hadiths) by consensus, so that umm walad his obligatory nafaqa would be from his free-born son when he can earn a living and not fromthe father

Note. Consent is still required in Islam even in a situation like this.

@LMNM800 did you even watch the video
@LMNM800 yes, he is legally obliged to do so
Incorrect, a slave girls consent is not required for intercourse.
Incorrect, the consent of a woman under the ownership of her master is not required for intercourse.

Good question, one I’ve never thought of, as we don’t really have slaves in this age, I hope someone can answer, or check Islam Q&A
