I did not know there were countless ahadith about this, tons of statements of scholars including the salaf, and I did not know brother Hajji brings exceptions to the rule (exceptions that have been refuted by countless scholars). If I am with my 8 years old on the streets and all this happen or any other haram in the policies of the government and I have already taught my kids what is halal and haram, then my kid asks me why does our Muslim king or president is allowing or even organizing such events. What should be my answer?

We usually say to our kids something along the lines of, It's a mistake. We make dua that Allah guides them and shows them the truth.
