After three trips in a row of non sorted cars this one actually came off in good shape. The cars that were gathered at Alter I'm trusting a new batch was left there. Then we have center beams and glue for LP. I'm sure it'll make this crew happier
They have relatives that live up in the iron Mountain area love it. I need to come up there and find a spot because it looks like a great place to watch trains. Thank you for sharing. Brings back many memories.
Springfield Illinois used to have several of those "no left turn" signals, but it was the Wabash/Norfolk&Western. Those trains didnt waste any time going though town, and heaven forbid if some poor fool ran the gates.
We used to have lights like those on streets that were behind the main street crossing signals that had gates. So a side street like this would allow a driver to avoid the downed crossing gate on the main road, because they would turn behind it. Drivers always turned left or right when the signal was flashing and NO LEFT TURN or NO RIGHT TURN signal was lit. They took all those signals out and replaced them with crossing signals with gates, so making a left or right turn wasn't possible. Most of the streets that paralleled the tracks were usually one way streets, although there were some sections of these streets that were two way, but they didn't meet directly across from each other. So no 1-way heading straight on into a 2-way section or vice-versa. These 2 way streets were like short sections and each ended at another road, from the air the section would just look like a capital H. Used to be a lot of train vs highway vehicles accidents at those locations. Until they opted to spend a few bucks, and replace those NO LEFT TURN/NO RIGHT TURN signals with regular GATED Crossing Signals on all the side roads that paralleled the train tracks. BTW: I just learned we have an Iron Mountain in Florida, but it's not a town, not even a real mountain, we don't have mountains in Florida. No trains or railroad tracks go through it though. It's in Lake Wales, Florida. An area of Florida that does have some pretty good sized hills. Just thought it was funny we have an area called Iron Mountain in a state that has no mountains!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not only do the people in Iron Mountain run RR signals, they also run Stop Signs etc. One of those was pretty close call. I has relatives killed in a train vs. car crash. They lived next to the tracks, somewhat like this, only residential. It's not a joke folks. Slow moving trains can kill you !
And I thought the drivers here in Florida were crazy. Those Iron Mountain drivers are nuts! Why risk your life like that? I hope not but someday you are going to get a bad video of a moron making a horrible decision.
The odds say, if you keep filming in iron Mountain, eventually, you’re going to film someone’s vehicle being destroyed by a train Beings that you are a fellow firefighters/1st responder I know you don’t want to see it I don’t want to see it and I feel terrible for anybody that’s in the vehicle when you do get to film it but OMG that is gonna be something wicked to see

Another good one great video thanks Jason

Thanks, Jason, enjoyed your video, have a nice day at 😂😂😂😂
Great video beautiful town
There is/ was one of those--- and a NO RIGHT TURN light, in front of the Fostoria, OHIO depot on Main St.
ELS owns several more SD9's. I wonder if they'll make any more operational?
I enjoyed that video👍👍
Great video! Love the long shot down the street.
good train video
Love you vids! You have some nice catches with all the drama! Keep on keeping on! 👍🌴
Wow another one what's good Jason?
Several center beam cars. That spells revenue!
That left turn light is positioned so you can’t see it after you pull up to the stop sign.

I know where you are at ! You are on merit between W.Brown St. and West Ludington st.
A shame that ELS RR won't rebuild the two Baldwin Shark Nose locomotives they have in storage.
Drivers I find any where do as they desire.
How often does ELS service the remaining shippers on the Ontanagon line?
No industries are served by rail NW of channing. There are seldom used log landings and occasional paint ore pickups.
People are in such a hurry these days. I guess they just don't care about their life.
Several scrap cars, price must be up
Nice to see the SD9 back. Sad to see people disregard such mass, play chicken with a train. Has anyone been hit?

No Left Turn that’s what we see, Left Turn that’s what the idiots drivers see.
