I haven't needed to try that line quite yet as I'm still absolutely in love with polish angel master sealant. By far the best protection you can buy if ceramic coatings are out of the equation :)
I am literally applying it as i watch your video. A unique product. It is cool to watch the gloss increase in front of your eyes. To me , i don’t detect any odor. It removes a little easier if i wait around 4 minutes. I am applying to black. Worth every dime to me. Great video as always Brian. Thank You!
I just stumbled on your UA-cam site - first I want to say, what a nice ride. I have seen others who I think just want to hate every CG product. You seem to give the most unbiased point of view. And, the best tips for product use. Thank you for this review.
Just wanted to say I don't watch many detailing videos due to the fact I was taught by 2 very high end experienced detailer's back home in Florida when i first started detailing. After watching your video i'm very IMPRESSED with the overall outcome and definitely agree with everything you mentioned in this video. I currently work part time detailing at a car wash and they just introduced this product to us followed by your video so we get a hint with what needs to be done and what we're dealing with... Again i'm very IMPRESSED with this product and appreciate your video as well as your helpful tips and advice. I'll definitely be on the lookout for more of your videos since I did take liking to the 1st one and decided to hit that subscribe button!!! Thank You
By the way, I like your channel, you don't oversell any product and the video are very concise and not talking just to make it interesting, I really appreciate that from your channel, just looking how you apply products and the technique, speaks for itself
This reminds me of Dr. Beasley's paint sealant which is also very thick and just as hard to remove. I was told by Dr. Beasley company to use a damp microfiber to go back over the car to remove the residue. Thanks for another great review
thank you Brian. I just used this on my in-law's SUV yesterday. I saw how grabby it was during the wipe off stage, so I cheated by putting it on every panel first, then used Tech Choice ceramic detail spray to wipe off and buff. It came out so nicely !
I bought some the other day but I was confused by the gelatin consistency. Chemical guys video made it look creamy, your video looks just like mine. My wife has a camry with silver metallic paint and it made it look fantastic. Thanks for the video
I like to see this in the sun; overall the car looks really nice, the rims and the paint goes well from the naked eye. I just purchased this and cannot wait to apply it
Your vette looked great.. when removing it, itactually reminded me of my first attempt when i used megs HCW for the first time. I used way to much and it smeared horribly ..good vid
I live in Los Angeles and I go to chemical guys every time I need something for my car. I’m curious on trying this on my mustang cali special. Your car looks and sounds beautiful man. The shine is real rich.
I love this product. I have found the thinner you can put it on the better. I use 2 small dots and cross hatch. In my garage (55degrees, 36 humidity) I only let it sit for around 45 secs. If its hard to get off, and/or looks like your pushing it around, you used to much. Good tip on multiple rags. I used a short nap to remove the residual product and a final buff with a 500gsm plush towel. Seems like the Chemical Guys stuff takes more technique to use, but you can't argue with the results. If you get a spot where it looks like the product wont buff off, I just hit it with a light spray of HydroSpeed detail spray.
I love it too. I seen reviews of it being hard to install but you figure it out. I just installed it in 90 deg high humidity. Put it on thin and wipe it off as soon as your done applying. Super slick!!
Maybe it’s just me but the corvette looked almost perfect before you started. It would be nice to see this product demonstrated on a normal daily driver truly in need of wax
First off that Corvette is GORGEOUS!!! That Forest Green is awesome looking!. CG product did make it look richer in color. But since it is "supposed" to be a 12 months product, I guess taking a weekend or sat once every 6 months or more would not be so bad to take it off. But a everyday for work item.... hmm maybe not so much, and Using hydro speed to keep it looking good for longer is a easy spray on and wipe off item. I am sold on it. But to me ill do it all. clay bar, high speed cut, hydro charge, hydro slick, hydro speed. Once every 6m or 12m. works for me. But that's just me. BTW great vid. I was tuned into what you were doing the whole time. 👍
After experimenting with a few ceramics I've found that they are more trouble than they are worth with high spots and buffing out. In some climates they should make a ceramic undercoating spray, would really help with rust and spray.
As with most Chemical Guys products, i feel they're overpriced but my god they're good at marketing, otherwise i don't think they could get away with those prices. I was impressed at the results but i feel the same results could also be accomplished using many cheaper products that are also a lot easier to wipe and buff off.
@@ashishpatel350 At one point Bose made cutting edge products. It's really been quite a long time that they've done anything all that impressive. Only Bose product that's really worth the money is their noise cancelling headphones. Everything else is average at best.
Brian! That Corvette C4! Looks absolutely terrible! I literally had to put on my sunglasses on! LOL! It's looks Fantastic! As far as the chemical guys product looks a little hard to remove. But it makes it shine! Oh i put your pad or interior cleaner! Works Great! Thanks again Brian!
A little off topic, I am excited to watch your review of the G9 polisher. Would you mind sharing your perspective of the G9 versus the max shine M8S, discussing them in general as well as from the perspective of a weekend DIY versus a professional? I am a weekend DIY and was about to buy the M8S when I learned of the G9. Though the G9 does seem to be the better polisher, I am still on the fence due to the much higher price. I value and would appreciate your perspective.
Kinda new to the channel. Detailing has been a hobby of mine since I was a kid. I like this channel because you got a real quick to the point no BS thing going on and I really appreciate that. Love your videos. This product did better than I thought It would but that price. I don't know . I'd like to hear your thoughts later on whether or not you think it's worth the price or not.
That looks difficult to remove when compared to most other products and, honestly, that’s disqualifying for me. Maybe for a weekend warrior it’s fine, but people who work with this stuff day in and day out know how much difficulty like this can set you back in terms of time and fatigue.
I just saw their video on this product yesterday and Boom... you already have a review out on it. You're the man B! 😁👍 As far as the product itself, the gel consistency looks like a little will go along way. However, based on the price and ease of use I would probably pass on this one. There are others out here that perform just as well or better for much less. Like someone else mentioned in a comment, their products (mainly the Si02 based ones) are way overpriced.
Great video Brian that product definitely makes the panel deeper but holy cow it looks like it took some effort to remove it almost like paste wax. Can wait to see you put it up against some other products & hear about it's longevity.
I own a Aviation detail company..for the most part we FAA approved products..how ever for certain jobs we have used a few products from chemical guys...i stand behind these guys...i feel that the extrensic factors play a role in durablilty as well...application wise..i feel that the if the product puts up a fight to remove ..its a testiment to its strength...if a products can be whipped off too easy..id be a little leary about using it.. Just food for thought...enjoyed the video though..keep up the great work..
Excited to see your review of the new griots garage polisher. I am sure it will be a little more thorough than mine was. I'm interested to see what you have to say about their grease, since they said they put better grease in there I wonder if it's actually better. I didn't actually take mine apart to check though.
It seems like a decent product. I have it and used it on my Silverado and it looks great and feels great, but it is hard to use. I do not have a garage yet and it was 50* outside so when I got to the sunny side of the vehicle it wanted to ball up when I wiped it off, kinda like glue. I had to spray another product on it to help it come off and then it came off fine. Do not use in the sun light at all or it’ll take forever
I know the $40 price tag seems a bit high but honestly I only used about 1/3 of the bottle for my car, I applied it about 4 days ago and my car still looks as glossy as it did the day I washed it. Tree sap wipe off easily now before I had to go deep in with wax to remove minor smudges. I do agree however that removing it is tough but I found that a generous amount makes it easier to remove rather than thin coating
I dont know if you tried different microfiber towels to remove the product or not,but i had the same issue after using CG Hydro Charge ceramic spray coating.I tried different towels and found that the yellow large detailing towels from CG took off the product with no problem.Love your channel and the fact you dont just talk for 30 min. before doing anything...like a certain other detailer.

I am just not sold on these SiO2-infused sealants. Based on some of the other brands that I have seen tested, they don't seem to be any more durable as good synthetic sealants costing half as much. Every time a new "ceramic wax" hits the market, I give my trusty old can of Finish Kare 1000P a big hug. Hell, I even give my Rejex bottle a high-five. LOL
Thanks, Brian! The obvious choice of opponent is MHCW, but I'd like to see it against another CG product. Maybe JetSeal or Butter Wax or the dozens of others. See just how similar they are in each of your testing categories.. 👍👌✌ This isn't something I'd use professionally, but I have to say, it looks like it does a very nice job of bumping up depth.
Great video and the vette looks great! I'd like to see a comparison between hydro slick and hydro charge to see if they are similar gloss and beading capabilities. Keep up the great work!
I have been using the Griot's Garage 11075 One-Step Synthetic Sealant based on your review and after 1 year i still really really like it, however this new stuff from Chemical Guys looks very interesting, I am no stranger to their products and have been considering a Ceramic wax. Definitely would like to see your long term results of this one for sure.
What do you guys think of the chemical Guys Hydro line so far?

Meguiars HCW
James O'Brien have you never seen Brian apply HCW? He applies it the exact same way and they are similar products.
Lets see what can do against seal n shine on Brian's combat arena
In my opinion looks Weak ,in the hydrophobic and gloss department. expensive and a difficult to remove .next!

Put it against Megs hybrid ceramic wax please.
This is way better more money but worth it
yeah this is a different category. HCW would blow this away in application ease of use - HCW would be a top-coat for this anyway.
I did t have a good experience with that product
Hcw degrades after a month. Horrible product
I swear, Prof you read minds. I was really hoping for you to review this. Thank you so much!
I really just love watching your demo's Brian. I have even stopped watching TV and eat popcorn while watching 🤣
Another great review. Fantastic channel, one of the best on UA-cam.
I appreciate the kind words! 🙂
How about a shootout between Hydro Slick Hyper Wax and turtle wax seal and shine.
thank you Brian. I just used this on my in-law's SUV yesterday. I saw how grabby it was during the wipe off stage, so I cheated by putting it on every panel first, then used Tech Choice ceramic detail spray to wipe off and buff. It came out so nicely !

That Polo Green C4 and Dark Bowling Green C5 are quite pretty when the paint is taken care of. A really underrated color.
I agree....love the color.

I’d put that on a 5inch wax pad go to work with the speed set at 4.5 and probably be easier to wipe off. Looks like a nice shiny product
You're c4 was already super clean and shiny!
I would like to see this verses Ethos Ceramic Wax head to head, especially ease of use and longevity
The two main reasons I switched from CG, price/value, and difficulty taking their sealants and waxes off and being even.
I had the same problem, it was a pain to remove the wax so next time I’ll use a little less but it was totally work it!!
Now that’s POPPING!!!!! Great job sir
It would be nice to see it up against the turtle wax ice ceramic spray.
Turtle Wax ICE doesn't have a ceramic spray. Meg's has a ceramic spray.

Hi Bryan....So if you ALREADY have a ceramic coating, you can just apply Hydro Slick on top of the ceramic coating ?
I wanna know how long it lasts and if does it fill in any swirl marks
How about the full chemical guy ceramic line? The hydroslick and hydro charge? Maybe even a wash with hydrosuds? Great video loving all the good info!
