Wasn’t “Step by step” part of the TGIF lineup also?
Yeah
Yes it was
I thought the same
It was more TGIF than Full House ever was.
I was thinking the same thing, like no mention of step by step?
In an 80s baby and a 90s kid. TGIF was a ritual, along with Saturday morning cartoons. This is such a blast from the past ❤.
76 baby. 80’s kid. 90’s teen. Same age as Candace Cameron Bure actually. And same here for me 😊❤
Gumby... do you remember fudge? I can't picture the characters at all, i just remember watching it on Saturday mornings.
Yeeesss! Perfect start for the weekend.
@brandymorrison2607 Did you know Candace Cameron. Was in Boy Meets World 🌎 She played a witch in that show. A real evil one even though. I heard she's a Christian real life.
Ty for writing that. My brothers and sister would sit in front of the TV and religiously and quietly 🤫watch TGIF. We would be so enthralled by every show: Family Matters, Full House, Hanging with Mr. Cooper, Dinosaurs. I especially liked "Boy Meets World".😊
What Nostalgia ❤❤❤❤ I’ll be 40 in May & as a kid this was EVERYTHING 🥹🫣Boy do I miss childhood/Teenhood lol Thanks for this…takes me back!!!!
I’m 49! I loved TGIF!
I'm 47 and TGIF was my favorite and that's all I would be doing on Friday nights, couldn't wait until Friday nights
Man we were so lucky as kids. To have TGIF on fridays and then SNICK on saturdays was just epic as a 90s kid.
These were some of the very best shows growing up. 😢sad that times have changed.
the shows that stood out to me were Dinosaurs, Step by Step, Boy Meets World and Sabrina the Teenage Witch
Born in 90, this is the ultimate childhood memory. I absolutely remember watching every Friday at my grandmas while my mom went to my sisters football game!
Boy meets world, Sabrina, Step by step, family matters!!!!! Popcorn and Dr. Pepper
Don't forget the short-lived sitcoms, "Baby Talk", "Getting By", and "Teen Angel"!
@@josephclegg3562 , also short term show - was , Sister Sister then moved to WB channel “ after it got cancelled on ABC channel “
Dr. Pepper? What are you? A communist. That stuff tastes like drinking sand paper. Dr. Pepper tastes like the water your Aunt soaked her feet in for 30m.
My fingers were in a hurry to click this! Thank you for the uploads!!
Me too! 😍😍😍
Same! I was like ooh snap! And for me It’s exactly when TGIF would have be on too!
Mine too
Being born in 87 I absolutely loved the reruns of all of these shows. At the same time, I can absolutely see why “Seinfeld” was much needed when it came around.
I love these shows as a 90s teenager. I miss the old days so much! I always looked forward to TGIF back then. I wish we had a Time Machine to go back to those days. The memories will be in my heart forever. Thanks so much for this!
Fr. Also, it was such simpler times 🥹
@@Kayoss13212 Yup and I miss those times a lot.
80s baby here... i always wonder if we're just getting old and falling into that stereotypical middle aged person whose complaining about how things were much better "back in the day".... or were they actually better back then? Of course i think they were but is that because I'm just getting old?
we always called it..Thank God its Friday!
We looked forward to it too. We had pizza night along with it. I grew up in an Era where families watched TV together as a unit. My dad had the best laugh.
If I was asked about my childhood, TGIF would be one of the memories at the forefront of my mind.
Can we please bring some family friendly TV shows back?!
They are doing a family matters spin off
not spin offs or re boots lets have reruns. or put on dvd of some tgif shows. @@SamanthaSweets
@@SamanthaSweetsare they? Awesome ! When? What streaming service? LoL 🤣 back in the day we didn't even have a streaming service! This was the best part of being a kid/teen watching TGIF ! Fond memories ❤❤❤
They Forget All About "Step By Step" "Hangin With Mr. Cooper", & "Perfect Strangers"
I'm not done watching but they definitely mentioned Hanging with Mr Cooper and Perfect Strangers
@@tiffy3787 But Not "Step By Step"
Sister sister
And Dinosaurs and Growing Pains
@@SamiLo2 not the mama
TGFI was my whole childhood. From loving the shows to buying the merch, it was a great time to be a kid. I wouldn’t change my childhood for anything in the world.
It Was Everybody's Whole Childhood
TGIF was my life as a child in the 90's. Loved all the shows, love Jodie especially we are both '82 babies
Jody was a great dancer on the show especially when she was dancing to Boys to Man/ and she was cute dancing to Love Shack ❤
Loved when Jodi danced on Full house ! My favorite one is when she dances to Boys to Men
They missed some shows that were on there. What about Step by Step or Hanging with Mr. Cooper???
and Dinosaurs.
Or Sister Sister!
that was not part of tgif @@bkandy7165
TGIF was my whole childhood. Loved FH, FM, and S by S
Boy Meets World, Full House and Sabrina was amazing tv shows
34:57 just a heads up there’s a glitch at this time frame move ahead 30 seconds you’ll be fine
I thought I forgot to pay my internet bill 😳😳
Glad to know it wasn't just me, when it froze during Will's interview I was like what the heck just happened 😂
Oh thank you! I just made a comment about this.
RIP Bob Saget
The family matters part was so interesting! I didn’t know any of this ! Imagine being a one episode character and then the show turns into all about you .. wow !
@crystalshields2890 Keye and Peele describes it best LOL!
Forever - Jesse & the Rippers
And the Beach Boys in Hawaii!!
@@MonLeyva-fn7fl Kokomo ❤
I always remember the episode where uncle Jesse has his motorcycle on the rooftop🤣
❤❤❤ TGIF was my grandmother and I 's weekly ❤ thing. We got together every single Friday for this lineup ❤and I am grateful for the memories ❤
This was the best way to keep young kids home on Friday night. I would go to school on Friday and couldn't wait till Friday night.
Excellent point! The only time I would miss it was to go to roller skating and still now to this day when I hear”now I’ve had, the time of my life…and I’ve never felt this way before “…that was always the couples skate. My best friend and I would hold hands and skate backwards.
I was so lucky to grow up when I did. Everything now suuuuucks!
I used to watch the Saturday morning cartoon version of Sabrina the Teen Age Witch
When the narrator said 30 years ago, it brought back that feeling I had when my doctor called me middle aged.
TGIF was the highlight of my week this brought back some serious nostalgia.
I miss TGIF!!
U can say it again ❤
As an 1980s generation good childhood memories when TV was good and desent to watch TGIF the Friday night lineup
A lot Of Good Memories!!
Man I love this ❤ I love E True Hollywood Story. I hope you can upload the episodes of Chris Farley, Jim Varney, Macaulay Culkin, The Cosby Kids, Will Smith, etc. I want to see it all. 🥺 hope it can be soon 🤞🏼 🙏🏼
Inject this nostalgia straight into my 1988 veins 💉 ....getting my 90's fix...saddens me really 😢 cause humanity will never feel like it did back then
The 90s were my days!
Yes, the best music, food, movies, clothes, and TV shows ❤
My mom’s friend’s son is in John Stamos’ band (yes he has one) and says he’s super nice. Also, it’s wild how much Olivia Jade looks exactly like her mom Lori Loughlin
That's cuz men only like young women
Yes Step by Step was a part of the lineup I used to watch
Full House was on Tuesday Nights as I remember.
Was never on TGIF but still a classic show!!!
Full House started on the T.G.l.F lineup before moving to Tuesday nights to make room for Step By Step.
3 decades….damn getting old…
Oh gosh I'm 35 now but I remember when I younger gal I use to watch TGIF watching all these show my favorite show was Step by Step, Family Matter and Sabrina the Teenage Witch...
TGIF was another big part of my childhood.
The good ole days ❤
Family Matters , my favorite
TGIF was it for me as a kid "popcorn and pop" with my brothers - great memories
I can’t believe I’ve gotten the chance to meet so many of the cast members from the four shows spotlighted here. Boy Meets World and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch were my absolute favorites growing up, and now I have photos with the casts hanging in my home 😍 I’ve been so lucky- twice over.
Step by Step was also part of the line up? Patrick Duffy and Suzane Summers and Cody, it was a great show
Family Matters and Full House were part of the original TGIF, and it was more than 30 years ago. Sabrina and Boy Meet World came much later, I never knew they were a part of TGIF. I’m 46, I was still in middle school when TGIF came out.
Loved all these shows...
Sabrina didn't join TGIF until Full House was already canceled
Sister Sister, Perfect Strangers, Step by Step, Dinosaurs, Hangin' With Mr. Cooper were part of it in it's prime
Ok Step By Step was also apart of TGIF I’d say more than even Full House.
Very true. Full House moved to Tuesday night when Step By Step premiered. Step By Step remained on TGIF during its first six seasons. The final season it moved to Friday nights on CBS along with Family Matters.
@@richierich3541 Actually CBS Friday Night Block Party to be exact!📺🥳🎉🌆
Unfortunately we will never get another TV block such as ABC’s T.G.I.F. again for the world has changed.
People need to Stop thinking that actors and actresses have to be the same character in the role they play! That's why they are acting!
My favorite example is Patrick Muldoon when he was on Saved by the Bell as Jeff. When Kelly broke up with Zack, Patrick was receiving death threats for a while. Poor guy.
It was kids that thought that. Middle schoolers adolescents
So true! When people would say they met an actor or actress, that said person was actually nice and sweet and far from the characters they play. I love that!
TGIF was my escapade to freedom of school ,routine & the world !!! Unforgettable comedies & actors. The 90's were the best !!!
I was born in 81' and TGIF was something i HIGHLY looked forward to every annoying school week! I watched it during the Step by Step, Perfect Strangers and rotation years for the fourth show which had trouble lasting as long as the other shows. Classic times to be an American.
Perfect strangers
I Love Full House And Family Matters ❤😂
A TGIF documentary! I been waiting for this to happen for decades!!
when i was a kid ... i loved tgif. watched it every fri.
I don't believe Full House and Family Matters ever aired here in the UK. However, BMW and Sabrina did and I loved watching them as a kid. Happy childhood memories ❤️🙌🏽
Good days ❤️ happy times, memories
My childhood.. oh how I thank TGIF! ❤
I'm surprised this wasn't split into at least 3 parts. The first TGIF lineup did not have Family Matters or Boy Meets World. But it did have Perfect Strangers and Just the 10 of Us.
Also, other short lived series occasionally appeared in the 90's lineup, like Baby Talk and Camp Wilder. Plus, there was Step by Step, Dinosaurs, and even brief a series with the Olsen Twins in the primary roles.
Lol I still remember the some of the shows on Saturday morning too I know one of them was Hang Time Anthony Anderson played in it 😅
@torrimills1915 🛼Not to mention Saved By The Bell, Saved By The Bell: The New Class, California Dreams, USA High, Malibu, CA with Mr. Beldings cool brother Rodd LOL!🏫🔔📚🛹
I remember Candace wedding. She invited the whole Full House family. That's so damn amazing!
I definitely wanted the Winslows to be my family!
the “dinosaurs” was also on tgif…
Sister sister. Step by step.
Sister, Sister was only on ABC for two seasons then got cancelled and picked up by the WB.
Step by step, Hangin with Mr. Cooper, Sister Sister
90s THE BEST DAY
"Is this true, does this happen really"
Cast "yes movie theaters are loud"
Full house, Family Matters, Boy Meet World and Sabrina were my all time favorites ! I also really liked Who's the Boss, Punky Brewster, Growing Pains, Doogie Howser, MD, Facts of Life, Family Ties, My Two Dad's, and more.
Then i Loved when Friends was on . I know after I put Sabrina the rest wasn't on TGIF, but they were ALL so good and and of course I Loved How I Met Your Mother ! Friends and How I Met Your Mother came a little while after TGIF, these were ALL Fantastic shows, sorry I am a sitcom nut ! I don't want to forget about Mad about you and Cheer's ! ❤ Also Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, Just the Five of Us( i think that was the name of the show) Awwwwwww Memories ! Tv is NOT at ALL like it was back then ! Not even the slightest and it breaks my heart ❤️
We had the best shows in the 80's
Most of the TGIF lineup aired in all afternoon reruns on then-Fox/ABC Family for years; Full House was 12:00-1:00, followed by Step By Step or Growing Pains or Family Matters or Sabrina or Boy Meets World.
In the summer when Mom's soap operas came on, my sister and I gladly and willingly went downstairs at lunch time and didn't come back upstairs until dinner time. Oh, those were the days! 🙂
I liked all the shows.
I love it when the shows go to Disneyland or WDW ❤
We had just moved a trailer to the country- had complications so for 2 months we had no electricity! And a blizzard! I hooked up a car battery to the TV and watched TGIF.😂
Dinosaurs was also part of tgif
as the co creator for the network at the end said: all these shows are now comfort food I'm glad I have almost all the episodes in DVD box sets I think I'll do that this Friday night buy some popcorn 🍿 and other snacks and go back in time yes I have cable but Friday I'll pretend like cable doesn't exist yet (how many remember trying to watch TV with rabbit ears?) Omg 🙄 my brothers and sisters were always like help I'd be moving the ears around till they said stop that's perfect!!
Cool video but at the (34:33) mark it just stops playing and doesn’t load while the video time keeps running, I tried watching the video on 2 different devices and it still isn’t playing the full video. May be something to take a look at? Great video topic though!
I’m a 90s baby! I still love the 90s.
Growing up, we had one TV in the house. And this is the only time my brother and I didn’t fight over the TV remote and try to kill each other and we could agree on what to watch. I love this when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s.
Love Danielle n love her hair.
Steve Urkle was my favorite ❤️
I didn't grow up on TV. Igrew up on VHS and DVD'd but over the years I have.seen some T.G.I.F. shoes my favorite that I have seen so far are
1 Full House 🏠
2 Boy Meets World 🌎
3 Family Matters
4 Sabrina The Teenage Witch
5 Step By Step
6 Sister Sister
All those shows are really good
I remember seeing Family Matters as a young kid before I started watching the show a lot in reruns as a teen and young adult. There were only two episodes that directly dealt with race. Many of the episodes were lighthearted or dealt with other topics including the love triangle between Laura, Steve and Myra. Boy Meets World featured an interracial couple but they never emphasized the fact that Angela and Shawn were from two different races. IRL, Trina McGee is actually 10 years older than Rider Strong and was in her late 20s playing a character who was 16 or 17 at the time her role as Angela was introduced in the series. Sabrina the Teenage Witch actually moved to the WB around the time Sabrina and her friends graduated high school and went off to college.
All classics
Fam is my show. I always wanted to be in that show 😂❤
Yo my man will as terry McGinnis/batman beyond was absolutely golden voice over work!! Great show too! Kim possible was good too lol but batman beyond was greatness 💯💯💯💯🔥
Yes was wondering the same thing. I had a huge crush on cody lol
i was a 90s kid so my whole family used to watch this and sat morning cartoons
The fact that this isn’t still a thing stinks. I loved growing up watching this but, wish something like this was around for my kids.
Just the 10 Of us!! I miss Hope & Faith
I did like Mr. J White on Charlie and Company..that was a good i saw on you snd a nice theme with Ms Night and Mr. Flip Wilson is i believe.
Was this done before Bob Saget's passing? It would have been nice for them to have addressed that. May he RIP. TY for sharing this. God Bless You & stay safe.
whats weird i dont remember seeing any full house episodes when they aired on abc but i remember boy meets world, step by step family matters and perfect strangers.
What's strange is that if you rewatch S1 of Family Matters on streaming, there are several opens with Urkel they inserted before 1x12.
It's totally random and out of place because he originally wasn't seen until 1x12 as discussed here. But, due to Urkel's popularity, they wanted to rewrite history. 😂
Redo this video and mention Step By Step. Family Matters/Steve Urkel helped boost the show when it first started. I just watched the episode where Steve Urkel appeared on Full House.
Rest easy Danny tanner.
Family matters needs a movie
