I'm torn on the subject on do we steam her again or not on the steaming side I would love to see her steam and I'm not the only one on the retirement side she is very old and fragile and she could be damaged maybe a replica could be made of her instead or maybe there is something else that could be done
She mentioned running with replica carriages. I’ve been trying to get some good images of the sort of rolling stock she would have had back in the day to put behind my live steam model of her. I am having the very devil of a time getting anything about the carraiges she would have hauled that I can use.
It makes sense not to run it since replacing of parts would just loose the originality of lion, but why don't they just make a replica that can be sold to some heritage railway to be run on? It's a waste not seeing how the loco would of ran and all of that.
Fantastic loco & video...I cannot believe more people haven't watched this! Well done guys! Kind regards, John.
Coming up to liverpool in new year to see lion bringing model of it as well cant wait to photograph them both together 😁😀😀😀😀
Fantastic!
The Titfield Thunderbolt 1952.

For the 200 Anniversary of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway:

As Anthony Dawson describes in his video:

Did you mention that she was The Titfield Thunderbolt
Very shortsighted not to run it.
