I had been trying to debloat a Samsung phone and a solid month I couldn't get it to detect in UAD. Your tip to move UAD to ADB folder just made it work. Massive Thanks!
Glad that worked. Share your debloating experience later.
actually your comment did help, too lazy to watch the whole video
How do you do it when you update? Do you remove all bloatware all over again after each update?
Thanks for the tip " move the UAD to ADB folder" It saved my day! :)
4:20
AHHHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH!
That was what was fricked up for me. Thank you so much dude, cheers!
Great tool for people who doesn't need some of the functions and services which OneUI offers.
I've had a OnePlus and I thought that they ship with a lot of bloat... Two days ago I bought a second hand samsung galaxy and the level of bloat on these devices seem like a crime.
@wsmario they destroyed oxygenos when they got to 12
@lazeroyIf you have Exynos than everything is cooler. 😅
Discovered this, I am going to give it a try. I used to do it with adb commands, the hard way, but this looks so much easy.
Samsung free, AR, all google and Facebook crap are on the list.
You deserve more subscribers. Without you it would have been impossible for me to do this
Tnx man. Credit goes to the marvelous dev creating those wonderful tools.
4:10 really saved me a lot of time for searching, i was really having trouble.
I had a hard time using UAD until I watched your video. Thanks!
Happy to help!
What's the best and safest way to backup? I use Google one but does this app let you backup the app to your computer and restore?
I been noticing my "other" storage has 15 gigs used and I can't figure out what that is or why it's so high, I want to remove things like Netflix verizon cloud etc samsung bloats up these phones so bad and I use a package disabled but that doesn't help storage.
it worked, thanks!
Glad it helped!
I would 1000% recommend doing this I have got rid of the bloatware, my phone IMMEDIATELY is so much quicker / responsive which means no doubt i'll get longer battery life now.
Your battery life improved after doing that?
Hey after that will i get software updates as it is or will face any problem ? Please reply
thanks for your help !
i tried it, and when i"m press "Uninstall" the app doesn't even uninstalled
Why do you mention Minimal adb right at the end of the install? you could've said install Minimal ADB AND THEN UAD GUI....
The moment I press uninstall after selecting a package the program just crashes
is it only me? when i try to remove game optimizing service it keeps coming back in llike few seconds by itself any idea how to fix that??
9:25 who writes the description using the word "guessing" was that you?? Can we edit them that way? Thanks and great content man ✌️
Thanks Tony, I need to check and come back. I am glad you like my content.
used on my n20u to mostly remove rmobile bloat
So what have you used it for. Could you do a before and after video?
Too much paranoia in this video. Basically, all the packages in the "Recommended" section are safe to uninstall.
@@anarcho.pacifist have U done that without bricking your phone?
@@JulioLocatelli Yes. I did that on two different phones, actually.
Thanks Dude
Suggestion to use screen recorder for tutorial purposes
Can u do the screen grab video of your PC.. the fonts is small even for those on big screen.
I'm gonna remove Samsung pay mini, facebook, youtube, onedrive 😪
Edit: also removed my galaxy, samsung members, AR stickers, AR zone, Deco pic and many other unnecessary processes 🎉
Now that`s what I call a good debloat!:)
did you face any problems afterwards
@@m_s_rishav_289 Nope. I understand the anxiety as I myself went through it. But rest assured buddy, just read the built-in info or find info about the packages you wish to remove on the internet and you're good to go. And be a little careful about some OEM package as removing some may lead to boot-loop but it's a rare case with 2 or 3 OEM packages.
P.S. don't hesitate to remove the obvious bloats like the ones I've mentioned already in my main comment. 😊
Why remove UA-cam?
@@fungo6631 Cz I use modded version 😅
How to i run the .exe file
windows says it can't be run
Nice video but pretty much everything in the recommended tab you can remove without worrying
Nice tool, my only concern is that its hard to identify which APP is essential for system or not.
The trick is to not uninstall apps you don't know.
Alternatively, google every app, but it's not quite feasible because there are hundreds of them, it would take too long
Any safe list for s23 ultra? Thanks
Does connecting and removing these applications(in built) effect the KNOX I heard by working on a third party applications, may affect the KNOX working program or security, kindly answer this
I want to debloat my note9 (it took 46gb/512gb just for system apps) but worrying it may effect the Knox performance or security I didn't tried yet
Should be safe but please always consult with xda
it is not working for me, the uad is always searching
HOW DO YOU START AND RUN THIS PROGRAM ON LINUX ??!!!?????
pure Android stock rom is preferred.
100% proper pronunciation! ;)
Will it be okay if I just select recommended apps to be uninstalled in the debloater tool? I'm going to do it ok my upcoming S23U.
Yep, but wait to see one ui 5.1 if supported properly via debloater
I got my s23 U today
@@lysanderdsilva Congrats
@@VelianSpeaksTech 😉💯
thanks bro
How can you get Samsung pay for non supported countries?
forum.xda-developers.com/t/get-samsung-pay-in-unsupported-countries.4028057/
Not sure if that flies
i cant seem to find the app store
Can you a list of things that you yourself find unimportant and are safe to remove. It would be very useful.
For help 👆🏾👆🏾👆🏾
adb app control is way better
It says on Github to install ADB. Why do I need minimal ADB & fastboot???
So the instructions on Github dont help. You have to install other BS?
Downloaded android platform tools and unziped. Add the android platform tools to your PATH (no thanks, instructions for this also have skipped steps) OR make sure to launch UAD from the same directory (I'd like to do this but dont know how), drivers should install when connecting device.
I'm lost.
hi there my s22 ultra wont connect can you help with this please
Ive had some issues with the cable ...
@@JulioLocatelli I'd love to sort this issue
Can this be done from the phone with a terminal emulator app if you don't have a computer?
yes. if you have a wireless adb function in your phone, use termux, or LADB.
@@chill_sauce i installed "Mantis Pro" and it had me enable developer options and enable "USB Debugging", "Wireless Debuggin" and "Overlays". Do I just do the same thing then install an emulator then run the script in OP or do I enter the commands one at a time? will i lose the work upon phone restart or power off/on cycly?
@@tdb0ne1 personally i just use termux or LADB to run commands to grant permissions of an app. I've never used stuff like OP scripts. if you're talking about stuff like 'pm grant [app package name] android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS', then no; these strings don't reset on reboot.
cant find the exe file on that debloater file that i downloaded.
Download uad_gui-windows.exe from the Assets tab from github.com/0x192/universal-android-debloater/releases
How do I install the tar.gz on Linux
assuming you have installed adb first and android sdk platform tools you do the following with the tarball:
extract the files (or file in this case) with the command , then the run the file with and the GUI should open. let me know if you can connect your phone, because mine wont for some reason
@@kBarBeats I'll try when I get home
@@SoundblasterYT hope it works for you
THE MUSIC DRONING ON IN THE BACKGROUND IS DISTRACTING.
what is a good size for system files after debloat the device?
There ain`t a universal recipe, let me tell you why, my brand new S23 Ultra has 60 GB system file size... so....
@@VelianSpeaksTech well here I have 38GB of system files for a Galaxy A33 ...
I am using the Samsung A53 as a 'iPod" for my kid. After doing the recommend removal I am now at 26.4 GB of system taking up space
@@VelianSpeaksTechdid you remove bloatware from s23 ultra?
@@roninr8199 No
Sorry, did he say if this needs root?
Hi. Is it possible to remove Facebook?
Make for s23 ultra as well plz
A shame my S21 ultra don't connect to the PC :/
Why so? Should be able to enable usb debugging and it should work (via developers options)
Can I unlock the bootloader with this app
No
Good info but he talks so fast...
What will I benefit from uninstalling these applications, they will not harm the phone at all. And if I did not use the application, all I have to do is deactivate the APP settings and the application will be stopped until I open it .. Likewise, if I delete an application by mistake, I may lose the entire system .. So thank you, I’m ok
:clown:
What do you know
You use the tool, so you should read up, and be knowledgeable on debloating so you have less resources used for performance in other apps, or better battery life. It's not a "go delete system32 lulz" scheme as you're stating in your comments bait friend. It's useful for any system, like windows for lower latency/input lag, just.like with a phone.
Only delete them if you know what it is. like youtube, can be deleted but dont delete important system files. also you probably cant delete certain system files unless you're rooted
@@OhHelioss The way it works, it just uninstalls the app for the current user, but not deleting any files. Therefore, after a factory reset, all the uninstalled apps are back.
Useless.
just saw you in beebom's comment section. you have a genuine skill issue. try 'ladb' if you have wireless adb function in your phone.
@@chill_sauce What's a beebom? Anyway I used someone else's tutorial that was much more concise.
Please record your screen using a software, not your camera
my adb folder does not has that uad_gui.exe can anyone help me out ?
You need to download the debloat osftware, the UAD is the debloater.
@@VelianSpeaksTech put all together into the same folder if you download separately
