Nice handle that's the one I want for my V3A. On my first try with the V3A I went crazy threw in a feather. Great shave only did two passes one WTG and XTG was close as a I can get with a 3 blade cart. Only got a tiny weeper in my usual spot no septic stick needed. Props on being able to shave with a hoodie. I'm messy as hell when I shave cant even use a t-shirt.
Lol whatever makes you enjoy the hobby just keep doing what your doing. As for the hoodie I was just cold so I didn't want to take it off lol.

You handled this razor like a pro. This v3a head is known to be very aggressive. Did you find it to be?
thomas grim I did find it aggressive, but I'm use to using the R-41 as my main aggressive razor. I tend to use aggressive razors more than mild it's just my preference.
Bowl needs ridges.....big differences...ok for tube creams...
William M Trexler I have a scuttle as well, but the bowl was still able to produce a rich lather just takes more time without the ridges. On a side note I need to get the Captain's choice lathering bowl lol.
