This razor is now my number 1. It's above the ones that cost 5 bucks and 200 bucks and all in between. This razor is not a 34C, DE89, R89 etc. It smoother and much more efficient! This razor is no joke, no joke at all. Cheers and a great vid. Great review
@@jerryx2000I just recently ordered one from Amazon for $24.95 and I love it man. It’s a more mild shave but with me being fairly new to using safety razors I like the mild razors. The blades are pretty good as well. I have a thick coarse beard and they cut through mine well.
I’m a new wet shaver and I just got mine from Amazon. I’ve used it three times now and so far I haven’t cut myself except once when I got to confident with it. The de razor I started with came in a beard grooming kit by wild Willie’s. The new Gillette is way better. I’m glad I made the purchase.
The King C Gillette is one of the very best Safety Razor I've ever used, and it sadly is overlooked by many and underappreciated. I have two and just bought one for my grandson for his birthday in March to learn with, and I got him a revamped Gillette Slim for his high school graduation in June. The King C Gillette is very smooth, while at the same time being very efficient. One can get a more or less aggressive shave simply by using different blades. For me, I like Personna Comfort Coated (USA) in mine, followed by ASTRA Platinum and King C Gillette/Gillette Platinum (King C Gillette are Russian Made Gillette Platinum Blades). Good review, George Silver Hawk
I bought one on sale for 7 euro in the netherlands at the Kruidvat store. As a travel razor. Together with an astra blade it is the best price to value ratio razor. Excellent..
I already shaved yet I picked it up on the way home, and I know it was 30 dollars, yet I figured, may as well, if it sucks, it's not the end of the world and I would have always wondered, what if.. Many will and have hated on Gillette for getting back into de safety razors, yet I think it's good for the hobby for retail stores to offer something to get folks started with wet shaving..this could be a first de safety razor for many people who will learn to love wet shaving..
@@thedalyshave327 Will the new Razors help to shave off the toxic masculinity or the patriarchy? if it is like in the commercial, im thinking buying one for Trump.
The King C Gillette is a good starter razor. Once you get the bug you will be hooked and ready to move up to any one of the much finer DE razors. Lots of great blades to try as well as soaps and creams that blow away the stuff in a pressurized can.
I don't in any way what to "Steal your Thunder" Mr. Daly Shave, I humbly offer up my experience. I shaved this morning using the new King C Gillette DE razor, using their DE Blades/Shave Gel. Not having used a 3-part DE razor before I found it only slightly "fiddly" opening it up and placing a fresh blade in it...I'll get used to it, this isn't my first dance with DE Shaving. The gel was slick and smelled very nice, yet it didn't respond too well to my shave bowl, brush and some water and a quick mix. I found the razor not aggressive and smooth to use, I made two passes and got a smooth shave. I applause Gillette for their efforts, this is an excellent set for a newbie to get started in wet-shaving...Now Gillette...where's that new Adjustable razor you're going to make!
This is the best video Of them all on the shaver, because I ordered one and I wanted to see a video about it, thnkx so dam much for the video excellent advertising and promoting 🎉🎉🎉
Nice review. I‘m from Germany, bought mine 1 1/2 months ago. IMHO it is a very useful razor for beginners (I just threw away a 3 blade razor), I did not cut me once, not even with the first shave. As I am a lazy shaver I just use shaving foam out of a can and only do 1 pass. With the King C Gillette blades I found out some stubbles left at some difficult parts chin, under / sideways of jaw. I bought the Wilkinson Sword Vintage razor (butterfly system) too. With the same blades it seems to be a bit more aggressive, but shaving a bit more thoroughly. I got 2 or 3 minor cuts in the first 2 shaves, feel that the stubbles are gone much better even with one go. Don‘t get me wrong: the King C Gillette is a good one for sure, very safe. BTW at least over here the King C Gillette blades are quite pricey, roughly about 60 Ct / blade. Will not buy them again, there are lots of better and cheaper blades around.
Damn great video! Smooth and fast shave! I have never seen anyone do a reshave but that was amazing. The razor sound crispy! Might have to pick this up even though I just picked up the Bevel!
I compared this to the Edwin Jagger DE89, and it was identical. The Gillette is much better value and quality on par. Astra SP, Perma Sharp and Nacet are all great blades for these razors.

Real nice review. Everyone has been giving the King a rave review so far. From what I`ve heard it seems a little pricey (around $29 I think)compared to the new Wilkinson Sword around $16. But its probably worth it. Thanks for the video. Cheers👍
