In most of the us, especially sport, routes stop and you lower from chains. iirc most of the red does that, because in many parts, the top is really featureless and straight up roof, the sandstone is just incredibly unique there.
Visit the red and you'll learn why. At most crags the last 15 feet to the roof is usually absolute dog water. It's covered in moss, lichen, mud, and has a steady stream of sticks and leaves pasted all over. Unless it's pristine slab most routes end before the top of the walls.
