Too weird. Why not just improve the helmet padding?
NFL just trying to avoid future lawsuits in regards to players safety
Maybe just make a new helmet that includes that feature instead of slapping that ugly thing on top of a regular helmet?
I understand the safety aspect of this...I do agree.
What's next, bubble wrap uniforms.
It's a competitive contact sport.
I feel that artificial turf is responsible for most injuries.
It is what it is, let's see where it goes 👍
It will be years for this to be come the norm, unless the NFL makes this mandatory. Like the NHL and hockey face masks, some players will think that it will make them seem unmanly.
Oh look over here!
We ran out of everything but national stories.

I'm all for safety, but they do look like clickers.
Some players will say it slows them down or their head heavy
These NFL players already had enough head injuries playing while in high school and college
Whatever helps, but not sure how that makes the brain shake less.
For those who are saying the cap looks ugly, you'll get used to it just as you got used to the ugly helmet.
what are they gonna do next, let the players wear bras and tin foil hats?"
Coaches will cut their players for wearing them
0:36 Isn't this kind of admitting #FootballHelmets are not #Safe? 🤔
Bout time?!
Bright 🍬 🤩
They never looked “cool” with those helmets. This is just safer and uglier.
Um........
😂😂😂😂😂
Go chiefs
If NFL players are concerned about their long-term health they’ll opt for a safer work environment with that equipment rather than worry about the fashion statement but then again history has shown that NFL players aren’t exactly the brightest bulbs in the room when it comes to their long-term health prospects
Safety > appearance. For players that were given the option and chose not to wear them, if they get a concussion, that is 100% their own fault.
