6:20 "All this Terry Gilliam" is a reference to the actor/writer/director, more specifically his movie "12 Monkeys" in which the futuristic outfits look like random stuff thrown together. He has made quite a few amazing movies, and is perhaps most famous for his work in Monty Python (Holy Grail and The Meaning of Life).
Frank Sinatra's "Balls in Yo Jaws" used to play at my uncle's house all the time when I was young! I remember him picking me up in his van after t-ball practice, it was cool because it always had candy! He always had a warm popsicle in his pants too, cream-filled I think? He used to compliment me on how good I could keep secrets. The song really takes me back to a better time!
I love that Ricks pride over his science is so absolute he cannot fathom that it wants to rebel & he won't come to a fair agreement with it even when he clearly lost
They left things ambiguous in the end about what Rick's answer was, but I honestly doubt that Night Summer would have allowed him to stay awake regardless of what he did. It wouldn't take much to put together that his primary goal would be to destroy the somnambulator, and his secondary goal, if he couldn't achieve the first, would be to get away and out of the somnambulator's range until his could work up something that would let him neutralize and destroy it. More-or-less, in her position, she would have had consider that if she left Rick awake, he would be an enemy that would need to be watched and restrained, and who would inevitably destroy her, but if he was asleep, then he, and his intelligence, was completely submissive and loyal to her. I've seen a lot of people assume that Rick still refused to rinse his dishes out of sheer pettiness, and maybe he did, but I just don't think it mattered either way.

This is one of those rare Jerry W episodes
This reference the movie “Us” as the night family's voices were creepy and raspy🙂🫥

The whole idea for this episode probably came from eating half asleep (or half drunk) and trashing the kitchen, then just going right to bed.
Terry Gilliam movies, I saw "Time Bandits" when I was a kid, lol. Super crazy for me, as with all his films.
