He actually attended a D2 school, Lincoln University in Missouri for his freshman year (19-20). The outdoor season was canceled so he would have transferred to FDU as a "freshman".
Funny thing about track is most high schoolers that are so physically more mature when they come out of high school they're already in the top 50 in the country those kids usually only gets slightly better if at all where is your normal underdeveloped kid can improve drastically in college and do often
I do agree that many of the top performer that the high school level have developed earlier and have had high-quality training earlier. if you get an athlete who is highly committed and finds a great coach in college, they can often do some amazing things down the line.

FDU has things in the classroom and off the field that rewards that loyalty.

I compete for SHU and seeing him live at conferences blows my mind how he isn't at an SEC or Big 10

How can we pay attention to the jumps when they don’t show them. If he wins or finish a close 2nd/3rd, then we’ll see him.
