TRAYLS Blazes Way to Community Subsistence Resource Assessment

Hoonah, Alaska relies on its shellfish resources for subsistence. Hoonah Indian Association worked with youth of the Training Rural Alaska Youth Leaders and Students (TRAYLS) program to conduct a first baseline assessment of shellfish in a community harvest area. Along the way they learned about the importance of this work and scientific skills.
