  • Hoonah, Alaska relies on its shellfish resources for subsistence. Hoonah Indian Association worked with youth of the Training Rural Alaska Youth Leaders and Students (TRAYLS) program to conduct a first baseline assessment of shellfish in a community harvest area. Along the way they learned about the importance of this work and scientific skills.
