The Seacoast Trust: Welcoming Home Planet Fund
In April 2024, the Sustainable Southeast Partnership announced a groundbreaking $1 million investment from the newly launched Home Planet Fund into the Seacoast Trust. This infusion brings the total funds raised for the Seacoast Trust to $23.1 million, which will be deployed in perpetuity to support the work of the Sustainable Southeast Partnership (SSP).
This investment in the Seacoast Trust is one of Home Planet Fund’s first major grants, underscoring their confidence in the Spruce Root, the backbone partner of the SSP, and SSP's innovative approach to community-led conservation and sustainable development in Southeast Alaska. By aligning with the Seacoast Trust's Indigenous-centered model, Home Planet Fund is poised to catalyze transformative change that benefits both people and the planet.
