'MOONLIGHT RENDEZVOUS' lyrics:
Half-dead in the wasteland of steel and cement
Like a failed experiment
Hunted by a sunless city that never sleeps
Neon reapers rake the streets
Dreaming of a past I may have never had
Everything was false and planned
Aching, just a wind-up toy designed to feel
But the tears are real
I'm a phantom of flesh and fantasy
A machine with a soul in agony
Is there anything left to save of me
Be my remedy
All I want is to feel your love break through
Every piece of my heart belongs to you
With a kiss we will paint a flawless view
Of a moonlight rendezvous
Find me naked in my virgin misery
Like an unplayed melody
Save me, come close and whisper my true name
And become all soothing rain
Touch me like no one's touched me before
In the deep of a cold heart's core
Love me even if it's going to make a crime
We've crossed the line
I'm a phantom of flesh and fantasy
A machine with a soul in agony
Is there anything left to save of me
Be my remedy
All I want is to feel your love break through
Every piece of my heart belongs to you
With a kiss we will paint a flawless view
Of a moonlight rendezvous
GTR SOLO - KASPERI
GTR SOLO - ANTON
I'm a phantom of flesh and fantasy
A machine with a soul in agony
Is there anything left to save of me
Be my remedy
All I want is to feel your love break through
Every piece of my heart belongs to you
With a kiss we will paint a flawless view
Of a moonlight...
I'm a phantom of flesh and fantasy
A machine with a soul in agony
Is there anything left to save of me

Please don’t ever change your style of music for the world. Mind blowing blend of 80’s synths and power metal. Absolutely beautiful.
I said 80's pop funk meets Night Wish
@@hellfire66683 funk? What are you talking about? There's no funk in this 😂😂.. it's literally power metal meets AOR, there's no funk and no night wish either smh lol
Exactly! Power metal and 80 synth! My 2 favorite genre in one music! Perfection!
Disco crap
exactly my thoughts
I swear this is one of the catchiest damn bands in the world. Every song is an war worm.
Catchiest after Babymetal.
I know you mean ear worm, but I like War Worm. They need to write a song named that now. XD

For those who don't know, the sample you can hear at the beginning comes from Armitage III, a 1995 cyberpunk Japanese anime. The video clip in itself is an homage to this anime. It made me rewatch them all, big thanks to the band!
It was those ova what made me return to read cyberpunk and redefined my conceptions on AI.
"So basically we were watching a lot of Bladerunner and decided to make an album"
Fucking awesome
Armitage III, it's an anime... even if some of the dialog is from it.
IDK some of this looks more like Star Wars than blade runner to me
@@napolean2160 Seriously if you haven't watch Armitage Dual Matrix. Jeremy is right in that it feels more like that including the dialouge.
Is this an actual quote, and if so; where from?
Yep.
And that is totally The Gun.
I hope this band never changes. This is absolutely perfection sonically. The world needs more from BiB.
I love this band and song.. Even though its a shameless excuse to do their own Blade Runner mini movie.. Which is no bad thing.
@@mikegandalf Would say more like strong influence from Armitage III with a bit of Blade Runner. Famous sentence at intro is from that series! Also characters, clothing etc. heavily inspired by Armitage.
@@kimmo4735 I think another of the songs is literally titled Blade Runner so it's safe to say the whole album is themed off of cyberpunk. I wouldn't be surprised if some GitS, Armitage, Alita, BR. etc all were inspirations.
100 percent. I can't get enough of their sound!!!!!!
I want to make them Album arts and videos! The Best band nowadays!
The fusion they handle between metal and retro music is magnificent, I loved this new concept of the band, it's adorable
Check out Battle Beast. Another good Metal and synth band. You might also like Dance with the Dead. A instrumental band that combines metal and synthwave for some banging beats.
I like battle beast as well. But beast in black is exceptional
First I thought the singer was woman 😅 This band might go reallly far...
@@Lord_Thunderballs haha both are affiliated with beast in black. Dance with the dead just went on tour with 'em. And Battle beast had Anton for a while
The Finnish Metal Bands are always from another dimension
I believe the singer is Greek tho
@FluffyKgSpy Correct, but they're based out of Finland.
Beast in Black's easily my new go-to artist. EVERY single song they've made is in my 'playlist' for when I'm doing random stuff.
Check out Heavenly! The main inspiration for this band imho....
I agree, Tyler! And sorry, I have to disagree with Callanan. I doubt Heavenly was any more inspiring to BiB than Dragonforce, Nightwish, Avantasia or any other power metal bands. Imho Heavenly is a couple steps backwards from BiB.. Yannis' voice is one of the best in the galaxy.
@@GlowBowl420 I don't think those bands are a (big) influence for Anton
@@c.callanan4008 Anton Kabanen - "Judas Priest indeed. It’s my personal favorite band and Kasperi’s second favorite right after AC/DC. Other big influences include Manowar, W.A.S.P., Black Sabbath, and Accept to name some. From the “newer” bands, I would say Nightwish is the most inspiring nowadays. Sabaton too have some great melodies. Then, of course, in general, all kinds of music from the 80’s keeps on inspiring and influencing." -from an interview a few years back. This Heavenly band you mentioned, they're not famous in Finland.
@@fysy9989 I'm saying Heavenly was no more influence to BiB than those bands were. Didn't say they influenced them, bud.
Seriously these guys came in like a thunderbolt in 2015 and have just kept on rumbling. Power metal to the core and I am loving every single release.
@Phobos This is Heavy Metal but their overall style is Power. Curious what the new LP be like.

@@geogeo2299 This is more like Pop Metal than really Heavy Metal
So I guess Judas Priest is death metal...
Wait till you hear about Battle Beast. XD
This band is soooooo underrated, it's ridiculous. Spotify recommended them to me in November last year when I was studying for my exams and I'm forever grateful. What a blessing. Usually not a big fan of this genre of metal, but their music slaps so goddamn hard. Easily my favourite band atm.
I´m not agree. They are heading a lot of festivals and concerts, and touring around the world. Good for them!!!
I can agree, and have a somewhat similar story.
Discovered them on Spotify in 2019 with Ghost in the Rain and Blind and Frozen. Added 2 more songs in 2021 with From Hell with Love and Die by the Blade. Then this year I really got into them, adding 9 more songs of theirs, 2 each off the first 2 albums, and 5 from the 3rd one.
They're so damn good. I've been binging the hell out of them. They were my number 3 artist on my Spotify Wrapped for 2023. I'd wager they'll be number 1 next year.
I'm a huge fan of all things power already bit it's great to see Beast In Black randomly explode in popularity. They deserve it.
Seeing all their songs with over 1M views is insane to me.
Saw them on the Nightwish tour a few weeks ago. They took time out to meet the fans for autographs and a one to one chat. Great band.
Saw them at Nightwish too. They are amazing live and absolutly humble guys. My personal favourite is the drummer. He had so much fun playing his drum. Smiling and doing "tricks". Those performances are rare
It so cool/ They are the best!
@@OsoAloc Atte is a great guy! Met them few times and seen live 3 times so far. Love all of their albums :)
They were one of my favorite bands, but after reading your comment now they are definetly my favourite.
Me as well (Wien)
At this point I'm convinced that Beast In Black physically cannot produce bad songs. EVERYTHING they have released has been an absolute banger
Well said.
Id disagree, Oceandeep is still out there
Nah that's actually pretty good, it's not the same as the rest of their stuff but it's a really good acoustic song.

Oh, so you never watched the "Blind and Frozen" video, I guess?! 😄 Thought the same, when I heard the song the first time.
Rumor has it that Yannis sold his hairline to the devil in exchange for such an epicacious voice

To be fair, in their last video they hooked up with a stripper in Tokyo and killed whole armies.
Have you seen the "From hell with love" video lmao.
It's a Bladerunner reference.
@JK ah! Fair enough. It just really resembled BR so I thought it was. Thanks for the correction though.
And then resurect. You forgot that part at the end.
As if the music alone wasn't awesome enough, the storytelling in this video is beyond impressive! Hard to believe that it's barely 6 minutes long - there's so much backstory and characterization in there, enough to make some feature-length films jealous.
It's just good and straight forward story telling, in contrary to most of today's movies, where the producers and writers prefer to get lost in politically correct characterization and boring back stories, instead of telling an actual story.
Thats because its based on the same movies the song is based upon. Armitage III

I personally think Yannis has the greatest voice to come around for years. Such power and charisma yet versatility like demonstrated in the first verse. He and the band are doing such great things, I wish them a long time making music together!
Yeah I'm just amazed everytime I heard their songs and the vocal range he outputs. It's fantastic. So grateful to have discovered this band :D
Recently discovered BiB and have been playing Dark Connection religiously. Walked in to the Nightwish show to see the album cover on the big screen and it gave me the biggest smile. You guys are great performers... I love the modern metal more than old school, but I love how you guys bring the old school style/performance. It's like the great hair metal bands of the 80s for a new generation.
They are supporting Nightwish on their tour :) I was going to go on my own to the one in Birmingham (UK) but they are playing solo in Manchester in Feb and I cant wait!
I love how they make themselves the villains in the story
We DEMAND the full movie, of course with BIB soundtrack!
It`s called Blade runner 2049, just turn the music)))
Im not 100% sure but i think this song is a tribute to the anime ova/movies for armatige the 3rd... the audio clip at the beginning is from the first movie (also seriously one of my all time favorite movies)

As an 80s kid who loves industrial, new wave, and metal I love this! Original and powerful but familiar in the best ways possible.
There's not a second of this song or video that is not polished to perfection. This band so unique and amazing, and I'm not even talking about their live shows. It hits all the right spots.
(Side note, the blonde actress is absolutely beautiful.)

The song is one that grows on you, melodically well put together, and has the usual BiB catchy chorus. The video is amazing, so cyberpunk, with a huge flavour of Bladerunner thrown in. This is the kind of music video I love, well acted and appears so much like a proper film. Better than a lot of what Hollywood throws up these days.
Yeah, the first thing the video made me think of was Bladerunner.
@@bigmonkey1254 Blade Runner comes first and foremost in time (1982) and in resemblence but let's also not forget "Ghost in the Shell" (GitS) (Anime movie in 1995 and live-action in 2017). I want to point to the scene where the gynoid sits on a rooftop under moonlight. OK, she does not dive with thermo-optic camouflage and guns blazing but I think I can make my point. Moreover, replicants of Blade Runner are bioengineered and fully organic beings as far as I can remember where cyborgization occurs in different levels in GitS. this 80s metal fantasy rocks.....
So damn good. I absolutely prefer their disco/cheesy stuff over their more standard power metal stuff. Pure gold !!
Stuff like this stands on its own. I love power metal as much as the next person but I much prefer it when bands stray from what is pretty much generic power metal. A lot of power metal bands rest on the talent of the members of the band instead of experimenting with the genre.
I like both.
Can't get enough of this band. Simply the best.❤🤘
Perfect song to listen at the gym 💪🏻🔥
Oh my god I need to try this on a run!
To anyone who may not know, Beast in Black's previous songs have been based on the manga/anime series Berserk. This song is actually a tribute to another anime though, Armitage 3. Personally I've never watched it but this song makes me wanna watch it.
Yup, Armitage III is a bit of a cult hit among the older anime fans. It was originally an OVA series from the late 80s/Early 90s that eventually got done as a movie in the mid-late 90s, with Elizabeth Berkely and Keifer Sutherland doing the VA roles of the two protag characters, Naomi Armitage and Ross Syllabus respectively.
Skip the Polymatrix movie. The OVAs are much better.
You should! It's one of the older animes that aged really well and is still one of my favourite movies of all time.
Dual Matrix was ok, but kind of a disappointment compared to Armitage III
Pure synthwave. Love it.
