Great dissection for a first listen, especially with no lyrics! Good choice of track too. I'd say this is arguably his most well known track. You'll find his stuff gets more cryptic (if that's possible) the further back in his catalogue you go, but there's like an "Aes Rosetta Stone" that, like, lifts the veil the more you listen to his stuff. Love that "you can be my little Snake River Canyon today" line (its the river Evil Knievel famously jumped), like "throw whatever you want at me today, I'll just jump that shit on my motorcycle"....lol. This the first song I ever heard of his, 10 years ago, and still haven't figured out more than 70% of it. One of the most dense, at least out of the "listenable" Aes songs. His older sht is difficult to listen to, let alone understand. And I would 100% recommend you pull up the lyrics any time you play one, old or new, it takes you that much further. This one is pretty difficult without lyrics and a few listens.. It's essentially talks about the rich and powerful in society manipulating the rest of us to do their bidding from war, to work, etc.. and we all go with it like sheep instead of thinking for ourselves. So when it's your judgement day you'll either be showered with roses or stoned. The artwork is really cool by jeremy fish again. From what I remember.....(I want a tattoo sleeve of the characters) is that they are all personality flaws, and at the end it shows that we can all have them depending on the time or who we are around by switching the costumes around.. IE. Rat Pack, Lion Hearted, Snake with martini glass,..

Tv on ten and ruby ‘81 both are such a dark stories rhymed out by Aesop. One has a happy ending but the other however does not.
