I really like how you only do your porting at the front of the barrel. Not just drilling holes everywhere and bleeding gas pressure right behing the chamber where it does very little for recoil reduction...
I have suggested this before, but here we go again. How about you offer the Apollo with two barrels: ported and non-ported. Then you could literally do everything with one gun.
They usually reply promptly when direct messaged. I am more interested in having a second ported barrel on hand, but that's just me. I only shoot IDPA and Steel/2 gun matches.
Hey Adam, you had me nervous for a minute there I thought you were going to put the Apollo at the bottom of the pack at one time. I was beginning to think I ordered the wrong gun for a minute there.😎
Curious. Could you custom make an Apollo with a ported block and keep it 4.6 OAL on the barrel and comp? I know the ports work fantastic 👍🏻😎👍🏻 but the block is just more aesthetically pleasing for me. I love the look of the Pit/Sand Viper comp, but I want that on a carry sized gun with the flush 16rd grip. Is that possible, or am I asking for the impossible? Thanks brother 🫡 I love the line up! Best looking table top on UA-cam 👍🏻👍🏻
I appreciate you guys as a company for having nuanced guns. Some seem similar but absolutely exist for a reason. Also great move going to porting for the average joe very few people use comps within the ammo spectrum they are intended to work. An erebus with some N350 is a thing to behold haha
I DMed on their site. Hope to hear back on the same question. I dont shoot USPSA LO so I really was curious if I could buy a second ported barrel for the Apollo.
My bad dude. You were asking about the open guns. It was the HYPERION that was retired. The Chaos open guns are only seen to come up as raffle guns. They did a fundraiser for 2A Rights in Vermont and raffled a full custom Chaos
Atlas said they were only building one chaos v2 in 2024 and it was for a raffle. Seems like an odd decision, but maybe they will be available next year.
I think it's probably not gonna be offered for awhile. Open guns are pricey to make and super niche. They require a lot more support/parts and generally you have to have deep pockets to use it to it's full potential in USPSA/IPSC open div. I can see why it's taken a backseat. With BUL making open guns at a fraction of everyone else it just seems like diminishing returns. Atlas has such a great lineup and it's hard enough to get one as is!
So is this Athena better than the titan? I’m confused. You make it seem like it’s not as good as the Athena. I’m on the fence and those are my two options.
Most shooters with normal grip pressure will like the Athena's return to zero more that the Titan. Return to zero = grip pressure x ammo x gun (and recoil spring in gun)
I carry my Titan RDS and it's not bad. Yes it's heavier than polymer and longer barrel. I carry under a jacket during the winter with a very low profile OWB so it's really no biggie. When it gets hotter then it gets more difficult and I usually carry 4-5 o'clock behind the hip IWB. Appendix for my body type and weight is not a problem but its NOT comfortable, especially when driving. I either dismount the holster/gun when driving or end up moving it behind my hip anyway.
Nowhere. I was quoted a year if you order from Atlas directly. Cancelled and ordered from Portside Munitions. Them or Kovert are probably the way to go if you don't want to wait forever.
@@joeyassyrianyeah a beat up Artemis with 1 mag for 6800.. No thanks.. Found a few new Artemis pistols for 7200.. the Apollo, NYX, and others in the 6k range (new) is what I’m after

Such a cool design I really like the full rail all the way to the end I hope before I die I can get one .
Picking up my EOS next week!!!!

I believe a non-ported Apollo is an Athena 🧐
I love Atlas! I have an Erebus on order, counting the days until it comes in!
Mouth watering OMG 🔥
I got a years wait for my order. I’m very excited
Thanks you for this video !!!!!
Nice! Cool to see what my #465142 spec look like. 🤙🏿
If Apollo has crowned barrel and a better looking slide cut, I'd pick it over Erebus.
Exactly what I was thinking!

Atlas guns just rock! Have to get an Erebus!
I love the way the Nemesis looks, I shoot Limited optics & wish it was available with an optic cut. I'm looking at an Artemis....
Yes! :)
I see a Nemesis in my future.
How come no flush cut and crown on the apollo? Makes them look so much better imho.
Are you ever going to make an Artemis with a flush comp, like an Atlas version of the XC?
*1:18** Really like the Artemis though.*
Erebus is my favorite of all my atlas pistols
nice
I’m waiting for my Athena to be built! ❤❤❤
athena v2 or what

Hi Bryan. Today our custom shop is not open. That would be a very custom setup. Its doable and lots of the custom builders could do that.
Hope some day to be able to afford these guns (one at least). Love them. Like cookies, I can't think to have one....😂

Maybe an Ares in a steel frame option too
I want an Apollo, but I think the Athena looks so SO much better that I’m probably going to end up ordering that instead.
👋
What was wrong with the barrel in the Apollo
Whats the loss in velocity on a ported 9mm pistol with 4.6" barrel length?
ordered erebus,,maybe after erebus i ll get the athena or artemis rds
Wondering on Apollo , if it also could be used as EDC ??
If you are ok with carrying a gun with a 4.6 inch barrel it will work well for EDC
Are sight blocks legal in USPSA Limited Optics? Asking for a friend 😂.
Yes
I've been shooting my Artemis in LO since LO became an option.
Which of these work with the left hand grip module? And is the left hand grip module aluminum or steel?
You can order any gun with a left handed grip. The grips are fits so this needs to be done at time of order.
Adam(Atlas), would it be possible to order an additional non ported fitted DLC barrel for a Apollo?
My exact question. That would be the carry optics king.
@aguy3896 that's what I was thinking 🤔
I DMed on their site. Hope to hear back on the same question. I dont shoot USPSA LO so I really was curious if I could buy a second ported barrel for the Apollo.
We are looking at that as a option.
@AtlasGunworks that would be great especially for us in California. Thank you guys
Anyone know what the Apollo is made out of (SS, Carbon steel, or Aluminum) TIA
Adam……What happened to the Chaos!
Chaos got retired in December 2023. They did a limited run of Chaos RDS before sunsetting. Check the channel for the video.
Edit: correction below
Damn shame Adam doesn’t have a single true open/major gun in the lineup

Could I still carry the Apollo?
You could but it’s honestly kinda big for an EDC.

Why don't you have pistols with 10mm caliber and only one pistol (Titan) with 45 caliber is available?
Artemis or Athena for USPSA Limited Optics???
Artemis. It's gonna track flatter and have a quicker return
The staff is split. Adam shoots the 4.6 gun in 9mm with a medium grip. The guys with monster grip pressure and very light grip pressure like the Arty.
atlas erebus should have been john wick gun..instead of that TTI Pit viper lol
The ares is the best pistol from atlas but everybody downplays it. I don't get it.
Looking forward to your 10mm guns. 9mm is so blasé.
Sad, not much love for Nyx.
Can’t find these pistols in stock anywhere except a few Artemis at 7200+.
Where can I get an Apollo without having wait for months?

Who is better Portside vs Kovert?
Your firearms are too good and too temping to purchase. (I have two) I need to unsub from this channel. Dang!!!!!!!
