Hey Comedian! I’ve been considering this same style of deck so I’m glad I stumbled back onto this video, but i do have a question. Do you think you’d change anything about this deck to include 1-2 of the new creatures from Baldurs Gate? Namely, Archivist of Oghma and Deep Gnome Terramancer on the low end as sort of stax-adjacent cards, and the Ancient white dragon as a high end payoff for making a TON of tokens, or maybe Raggadragga to combo with all of the mana dorks? Also I’m not finished with the video so I’m not sure if you address it but what would be your thoughts on either Mass Hysteria or Concordant Crossroads so that you can attack with Jetmir and other creatures on the same turn you play them?
Uhhhh I build Jetmir a few days ago. Very interested to see how you are going through this and how how your end result will look like. Really like these live brews. Hope we will get some more in the future
That was fantastic, definitely enjoyed watching your brewing process. Having the whole chat weigh in as well to fill in the gaps is priceless. And absolutely repost your twitch games to your UA-cam please!
So hey, interested in your thoughts here re: Jetmir with Rule of Law (and in case this comment ages poorly, I'm 16:30ish into the video), I would argue, at least for devil's advocate, that while Jetmir does not provide a card advantage or mana advantage under Rule of Law, he does provide a notable *board* advantage under Rule of Law, and that is literally what I believe the deck is attempting to accomplish (shut down other decks, win with accumulated board advantage). So when every player can play one spell each turn, advantage goes to players who can either play on other peoples' turns or whose one spell has maximum impact. And Jetmir has a static effect which increases the quality of your one spell per turn, which therefor does provide value under Rule of Law.
Also, how sure are you that you can't play pain lands with Yasharn? Assuming we are using the old school terminology coving the likes of Brushland, I'm pretty sure you can still use that with Yasharn.
A good tip with Weathered Wayfarer is using Lotus Vale, but I think color demands could make it awkward if you don't have dorks out, too. I think if you see Managorger Hydra (we call him George) in action in a cEDH game, you'll realize, like Ishai, it can get out of hand quickly. All spells and not just opponents, too. Two cute ones: Savior of Ollenbock and Neyith. Neyith is prob competing with too much and at 4 mana, not worth it. Savior is interesting as a way to protect against a wrath. Faeburrow Elder is one I think belongs. Jetmir gives vigilance but it's a beefy attacker and isn't poorly costed for a solid dork. Compare it to Somberwald and it's a solid jump. If you think going wide would speed things up by turning in Jetmir, Oketra's Monument can be bad ramp that makes lots of bodies. Don't think it'll make the cut without a clear need for wide strategies. Runic Armosaur helps with draws on fetches, etc. Blade Historian is a four drop, but for what the deck wants to do, I think it is worth the slot as it will close out games and make dork attacks viable due to the double strike. Lastly, if struggling to connect with smaller creatures in a creature meta, Champion of Lambholdt might be win more, but helps the small bodies get through.
Loved this video 😊 It’s probably hard to pull double red with the current spread, but with how much Jetmir and team will be pressuring life totals, Ash Zealot is an overlooked hitter! I’ve been brewing an Ognis cEDH deck, zealot has been a fun include :)
@@ComedIanMTG Appreciate it. Also curious how decks like this do against wraths and what you might suggest to combat them. There seems to be more creature wraths in my local meta than what I see in a lot of lists online.
Yes. Ian, who got me into Dawnwaker and extremely efficient midrange value as well as explosive turbo naus,, was always who i assumed would be leading the charge when it came to...naya...winconless...stax. Lolz asidr, you are a quality deck architect. The way you go about constructing your decks is as good as it gets. The one thing, if any, i could give you...(you are far better than i am!) Dockside, the BEST card in the format, will more often than not, be a dead when rocking this kind of deck.
Could you post the final list of the deck? I have actually just put together a cEDH Marath, Will of the Wild deck and it has much of the same components.
I feel like new urabrask with drannith may be sweet here as well. other wise list looks good. potentially jinnie fae too to change some of the other tokens into haste creatures. Also Circle of dreams druid I know was dismissed but I would just like the back up in case a strip mine comes out. Might be meta dependent.
What is your opinion on Growing Rites of Itlimoc? Gives you some card selection and in this deck can be a Gaeas Cradle the turn it comes down. I've never played cEDH tho, it might be too slow Also ancient ziggurat seems like a great land to me

I really enjoyed watching this. New to cEDH so seeing and hearing why you did it didn’t use a card is super helpful.
You are doing great work for the community. Thank you. I just played this commander on my show. Wishing you the best.
You and Ian are both kicking ass!

I came here to make sure you made this into a Secret Commander Winota deck.

I love watching the process behind brewing decks. Really enjoyable for someone that likes to build decks myself
Actually one of the best videos i have seen in quite time!!!

So upset that I missed the stream. More of these please!

I enjoyed this but would appreciate some sample hands once it's built.
Yeah as I mentioned, it was getting late, next time I will probably be able to do some hands

@@GravePacked it depends on which wraths specifically you see a lot of
@@ComedIanMTG obviously Toxic Deluge, but also Doomskar, Vanquish the Horde, Blasphemous Act and Supreme Verdict seem to show up a lot.
@@GravePackedboros gerard is a really solid option for those pods

This was super cool to watch and helped me build my own Jetmir!
Could you post the final list of the deck? I have actually just put together a cEDH Marath, Will of the Wild deck and it has much of the same components.
Done! :)
Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin feels insane in this list so far
I'm fascinated by stax decks where the win is combat! Cool brew 😎

augur of autumn has been great in my Selvala, Explorer Returned creature based stax deck.
What are your thoughts on Wild Beastmaster in jetmir? To slow to be a doubler on the overrun effect?
Ian started talking about convoke and my brain wanted Sprout Swarm lmao
Also hey! This was fun!
LOL - I'm half-way through the video and I am just crossing my fingers that this is the CEDH deck for Siege-Gang Commander HA!
Thoughts on arrasta of the endless web, krenko tin street kingpin and torens fist of the angels?
Arasta and torrens definitely seem decent

Also ancient ziggurat seems like a great land to me
did you consider the new urabrask to lock people out with drannith cause you can go grab it with sisay or yisan?
It's decent but at 5 mana there are a lot higher priorities
great stuff Ian!
Bold choice in shirts today...XD
I felt crazy thinking about archivist of oghma until I looked at the date
Love your brews, keep it going please
Isn't Sarith a bit counterintuitive with jetmir's giving vigilance effect?
That’s why she there, gives them all hexproof
I am sad I missed this stream.
With all the legendary creatures did you consider Loyal Retainers?
Worth considering if you want to swap rest in peace and add that plus survival of the fittest
Didn't think of Grand abolisher or purposely excluding him because you're not comboing?
What does root maze do against kikki?
The creatures enter tapped and therefore when flickered they cant make more copies
@@ComedIanMTG why do they enter tapped? Just artifacts and lands.
@@dasfabelwesen lol yup apparently I'm illiterate 😂
I enjoy a good brew🍺
submit this to the #FreePlaym competition going right now Ian. DM Mikey the list
Cutting Mana Crypt (1:08:00). Are you FKING kidding us? Boy cut your drugs and don't play that long of a game anymore again. :)
