    This is by far my favorite White Weenie deck I've seen so far.

    Am I the only one here that noticed that the deck list they have in the description is for Jund?

  • @Nimenoz

    Because they need to thin out their decks by fetching up as much land as possible. This means the quality of your next draws will be better, netting you more power cards instead of basic lands. Fetchlands can also be used to increase the number of landfall triggers you get per turn.

    Emeria comes in tapped and needs 7 plains to have an effect and each emeria you play is one more turn until it is active. This is a weenie deck, so it doesn't want tapped lands and it doesn't expect to make it to turn eight, let alone nine or ten. It's there as a just in case.

    They didn't mention the Sigil of Distinction, which seems like an odd choice with Mystic becasue it comes in with 0 counters, but I suppose it is just there to draw or to fetch when you have a Kor Skyfisher in hand. Easy to pickup and a huge beating if you decide to pump the mana into it.

    @carthwolf I did. It says 1W,T: You put put an equipment card from your hand onto the battlefield.

    Craig is at the place I play quite a lot. And despite what some other people said, he's cool as fuck in person. Then he told a friend and I that he won $14,000 of this tourney and our faces were like O_O

    @Wedgehead123 Mystic puts equipment into play. it says, CW, and maybe tap: put target equipment from your hand into play.

  • @Arkssa

    @komatos If you listen, he didn't say that. He just said it's good against wall of denial.

    I like this version of a classic deck. Its balsy to run day of judgement in there :P

    Pithing needle would be an unfortunate card to see on the other side of the table while playing this deck. Alot of people forget that the equip is an activated ability

    4 Elspeth! I wish I had that kind of money so I could get 4 of her for my white soldier deck!

    @roykillany hha in an equipment deck you cannot argue the use of unscythe in standard. +3+3, first strike, creatures dealt damage by it you cna remove from the game and get a 2/2 zombie token. That and basilisk collar rule the new equipment decks.

    Craig seems like a legit human being, which is saything something when listening to theses people talk about their hobby...and yes its really said when wizards own youtube video can't get the correct decklist....

    @commanderzeipher
    Better check your calculation again. 'Thinning' a deck with less than 60 cards in it by 1 card means the deck is 'thinned' by more than 1/60 (more than 1.666%).

  • @cant_standya
    @cant_standya 14 років тому

    Oh I see now, I thought it tapped to search and put into play, not an enter effect. I had never really read the card before, just heard about it from a friend, my mistake. It seems better this way.

  • @commanderzeipher
    @commanderzeipher 14 років тому

    Mathematically, the amount that they thin by is less than 1%. It's mainly for Steppe Lynx.

  • @damiensrealm
    @damiensrealm 14 років тому

    Thinning is mostly irrelevant. It changes your percentages by about 1/2 percent per fetch/ card drawn. It's essentialy only for the lynxs.

    @lukejf01 Land comes into play untapped which is very beneficial.

  • @lukejf01
    @lukejf01 14 років тому

    Why do they use Fetch lands vs. Terramorphic Expanse?

  • @misanthroposy
    @misanthroposy 14 років тому

    @carthwolf Well not when you have equipment like unscythe, killer of kings in your deck. The guy that runs our magic tournaments here in town ran a white, red, green deck with her and unscythe the other day and took first place undefeated against a vamp deck and two jund decks.

    read the card

  • @Wedgehead123
    @Wedgehead123 14 років тому

    @Powerslave1123 Mystic doesn't put Equipment into play, just into hand. You could choose to cheat it into play, but it's probably better to pay for it.

  • @Cloakblade

    The description is wrong it explains a Jund deck.

  • @JalebJay
    @JalebJay 14 років тому

    Actually it does the most, when you have problems finding cards I would rather have less chances of getting a land and when you thin your deck you wont have as many fails.

  • @misanthroposy
    @misanthroposy 14 років тому

    @lukejf01 Because the land you fetch doesn't come into play tapped.

  • @assasinilu
    @assasinilu 14 років тому

    i would play just 3 elspeth (u dont want to draw 2), cut the days (to be more aggressive with knight of the white orchid, less lands and pte, more orings or something like that. also relic of progenitus does nothing in the sideboard O.o

  • @JalebJay
    @JalebJay 14 років тому

    Fetches are not just for Lynx... THINNING... 2:46

  • @hoza121
    @hoza121 14 років тому

    y would u use lands that let u go an get a red or black land

  • @GameBrigade
    @GameBrigade 14 років тому

    the card is used for its tutor ability, not its ability to put stuff into play.
    that ability, while useful, is usually irrelevant.

  • @Baddreamzz
    @Baddreamzz 14 років тому

    hes got 4 paths to exile in that deck...if this deck was made to counter Jund that would be the worst card to put in there. Youd just be accelerating them to sarkhon the mad or broomate dragon.

    Mono-white deck without Baneslayer Angels is weak! She's 100 times better than the Skyfisher.
