Jou Male Docudrama

An edutainment tool produced in 2002 highlighting the issue of teenagers at risk for HIV/AIDS as a consequence of the Sugar Daddy Syndrome involving relationships between bus drivers and under-aged school girls in Saint Lucia. The tool was commissioned by the St. Lucia Planned Parenthood Affiliation, with oversight from the AIDS Action Foundation. Jou Male (say JOU MALERE) was produced with partnership support from the Che Campeche popular theatre group, the Leon Hess Comprehensive School, Vide Bouteille Primary School, Sir Ira Simmonds Secondary and the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School. It was written by the Che Campeche collective with additional scripting and direction by actor/ director and communication specialist Ernest Che Rodriguez with technical production by Ancomm Ltd.
