Very helpful information. We're traveling to Rome in 2025. We'll spend a few days in Rome, move onto Venice for a few days, then board a ship in Ravenna. Doing a B2B. Second leg is Transatlantic back to US. On turnaround day we plan to spend day in Citavecchia.
Had to laugh when you started talking about Mc Donald's. That was my main focal point on Google Earth as I tried to figure out where we need to be dropped off for our up coming cruise. I really don't want to be dragging bags any further than I have too.
We were in Civitavecchia in 2019 as our final stop on NCL. It was pure chaos at the port and we ended up walking from the ship to the train station with all of our full size luggage and carry ons. In June 2024, this will be one of the port stops so we plan to visit central Rome again. I recall that walk you did with the fort but didnt realize there was a little town nearby. Can you tell me if NCL allowed you to bring all that water and wine back on board? I cruised on NCL to mexico in 2022 and they didnt allow anything like that back onboard.
We were on back to back cruises and this is the turnaround port, so there was no problem. It was the final day of the next cruise. Enjoy! Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.
For the beaches, you can go to SANT'AGOSTINO o SANTA SEVERA, overthere you ll fin5d sand and very nice girls or Boys . At the end you made a ve! ry good video. Thank you
If we were leaving on a cruise we would try to stay in Civitavecchia. If we were flying home, we probably stay near the airport. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.
Definitely easier to stay near the cruise port. The airport is a fair distance away. I believe over an hour. I read that train is a nice option to go from the airport to civitavecchia.
@@meganallday Thank you both for your ideas. Since we are flying in Friday for a Saturday cruise, it became clear that staying at the airport and using a Royal C transfer was the easiest solution. That said, the port city looks like a terrific place to explore and I wish we had more time.
Sometimes it's fun to see what it's like. The food is different in every country. Of course, we rarely go to McDonalds at home. Thanks for subscribing!

Any place with free wifi during your walk?
We’re sure there is but we never use them so we don’t usually look. Sorry.
We’re cruising from there in August 2022. Wondering if it’s easier to stay at the airport or cruise port?

For us every day is Christmas
That's Great!
You needed a tour guide
Probably. We just wanted to pick up some wine. Don't forget to subscribe!
That was totally your fault when you walked past the lady with the pushchair ? Why couldn’t you just wait at the side for 2 seconds?

Eat at McDonald´s in Italy should be considered a crime.
