My musical tastes have yet to evolve from this style of music. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but it seems that most people that like this power chord driven, catchy alternative rock are 12 to 17 years old in the 2000's (in other words, they no longer exist).
They're not Christian, but check out Midtown. They were my favorite early 2000s band, and all of their songs will definitely give you that nostalgic feeling, even if you've never heard them before.

I was merely pointing out how Christians don't believe in a solely material universe: that there is a spiritual side to life as well. If you want to stick to atheism, I have no objections. You may believe as you wish. However, I do believe it is wise and only logical to look over the evidence, or rather the worldviews through which we see the evidences for our positions. I also may have "lied" about your position, perhaps you believe differently. But that doesn't mean that I lied about every nonbelievers' position; on the contrary there are many 'materialistic atheists' out there, who believe that only the physical exists. Moreover, I don't spend all my free time engaging in insulting those who disagree with my beliefs. The comment I made was solely an agreement to what the song was saying: and if you think I was insulting atheists, you ought to get on Switchfoot's case, too. And why do you think that just because evil- my 'insulting' -exists, then God cannot? No, it is quite the opposite. As C.S. Lewis put it: "The shadow [sin] proves the sunshine [God]." If you think that a loving God can't exist because there's evil, you must also question the existence of doctors and dentists. For there are many out in the world who are sick, dying, and have rotting teeth, and so therefore doctors and dentists can't exist because they would've healed those people if they did. You can't blame him for those who commit evils or insult others because the real problem is that they don't "visit the doctor" who can heal them of their sin!
