Very interesting you mentioned women being attracted to the CT. I experienced this firsthand with my wife of nearly 50 years. We were at a St. Patrick’s Day parade on Long Island, NY and I happened to turn around and noticed a CT parked 50’ behind us and pointed it out to my wife. That’s when I got the shock of my life - I have had a reservation for the CT Beast for a very long time and she was not happy about it. The second she spotted it, she took off in a run (can’t even remember seeing my wife ever run) and she actually beat me there and was peppering the poor owner with a string of questions and taking pictures. He was very gracious and entertained her and allowed her to open it up and get a good look at everything. Now, I can’t get her to stop talking about it and she has become extremely impatient for it’s arrival (I can’t bare to tell her that it is well over a year out). So, not only are elementary school girls interested, so is at least one girl who hasn’t seen elementary school in over 60+ years. 😂😂😂😂

Very nice overview. I knew everything about this vehicle except how its owners were actually going to use it. Even Ellie, Joe, Sandy (!) and Dirty Tesla haven't said much about many of the things you introduced us to here.
Both the Cybertruck and the semi are at the bottom of their innovation curves. It’s not the same as the cars. They focused on a handful of key innovations and made do with tons of smaller aspects of the designs. And that goes double for the semi. Once the semi can drive with FSD, you no longer need the cabin for a driver so that massively affects the design. But imagine a Cybertruck with FSD... you don’t need the seats. You don’t need the dashboard. You don’t need windows. You might be able to have a Cybertruck that has cargo space from where the gas and brake pedals used to be all the way to the back. What is that? Instead of a 6 foot long cargo box you have space 12 or 14 feet long. That’s not an edge on the competition. That actually starts to go beyond our imagination, stuff we never even thought of for a cargo vehicle. It’s meant to be an inspiration from Blade Runner. But none of the sci fi flicks thought of this.
Congrats on your new truck! 🎉 It's certainly game-changing and innovative, but is it really the best truck? Kyle Conner reckons the Chevy Silverado is a better truck because of its longer range and faster charging, and the Lightning was the best performer in his off-road tests (which you can buy for half the price of a Cybertruck).
I have had a musician colleague for 20-30 years who has worked in tech all that time. This evening, I discovered that not only did he not know what a Cybertruck was, although he had seen a few here in the Bay Area, he clearly didn't know it was a Tesla. We are a country of groups that have very little to do with each other. Interesting.
I think a lot of Cybertruck skeptics overlook or undervalue the SUV nature of Cybertruck. It seems like the back seat is big enough for 3 teens or adults. Dirty Tesla said it was a perfect road trip vehicle because the Vault cover made it easy to grab specific things out of the storage area without opening the tailgate. With the lowering suspension, people who said "You won't be able to get anything out of the bed" seem to have nothing to complain about. Time will tell how trades, construction, lawncare, and trailer haulers take to Cybertruck. I'm glad to wait on CT right now, eager to see you guys try out FSD once it arrives for CT!
In the second word war the Germans built 4 wheel steering jeeps. My father and his buddies had great fun playing with them. When i was a kid 60 or so years ago i built a bob sled with steering front and rear. Fun. There's talk that the CT requires special charging because of the 800 volts it uses. ?????? Thanks for a very positive uplift of the CT. Looking forward to seeing one in Belize.
Here’s the thing about stainless steel. Stainless steel doesn’t like salt. If you live on the coasts in the salt air, expect some rusting. If you live where people put salt on ice then expect some rusting. It’s still better than bare steel though. But, the SS on the cyber truck is its whole SS surface is exposed, so any rust it picks up will be much more visible.
Congrats. Great insight! Closest thing obra had to an EV was my Q50S hybrid which did have steer by wire. Ordered a CT a few months after the debut. Finally test drive a Highland base model at an Expo. It was mind bowling nice in every dimension!!!! Butts in seats would DESTROY legacy.
Folks, stainless steel does rust. The most rust resistance SS is 316L. The Cybertruck is made from 304 SS, and it will develop rust spots. Also, strong acids or alkaline substances can cause discoloration, such as bird poop etc. Fortunately there are measures you can take to prevent this. You can paint or wrap the vehicle, or use my insider tip that l use on my SS appliances and Weber SS grill. WD40 - spray and wipe.
The composition changes depending on which body panel. There is copper in the front bumper that is not in the doors. The front bumper is 301 SS. The doors are likely 303. Slightly different for each panel.
Magnets. I'd like to see what you guys can do to this with neodymium magnets and what can be attached to it. I've even got flat USB cables now that have magnets built in and they're great for travelling as they pack up neatly and also for cable management as they stick to stuff reasonably well. I have magnets the size of pushpins you use on a corkboard, that you basically can't remove from steel by pulling on them - you have to use leverage to get them off.
I had the 30 day free trial FSD on my model 3. I used it 3 times. It is impressive in it's abilities, but for me it was annoying to use since I had to supervise it. It came to a complete stop at stop signs for heavens sake! Preferred to drive myself to babysitting FSD.
I need to see one in person. I'm no truck guy but really hoping when I SEE one I will like them. I'm glad you are excited about this; it was clear the Rivian and F150 were OK and trucks and then the charging bothered you (I gathered was the biggest drawback). This just all sounds positive so far and obviously charging won't be the issue.
When you finally got to finalize your cyber Truck do you get to decide on the $79,900 dual motor unit in others words not a foundation series and also if you do not choose the foundation series what does that do to your place in line?
It looks like the Foundation Series is a "skip the line" thing. If they contact you, they will say "Order a Foundation Series now with the $20k extras, or wait for your turn in line." Tesla has NOT said how many Foundations there will be or how long they will be offered. My guess is they go through the entire ~2 million reservations, give everyone a crack at the Foundation, and then skip back to the front of the line. It may be the end of 2024 or early 2025 before we see a non-Foundation sold.
I was the fist Tesla (YP)in my multi dwelling complexe in 2020. Now, 135 EVs, half being Tesla. For City application, EVs are a must to reduce strong concentrations of CO2 and NoX. The 6000th built has already many improvements as they fix problems as they go. I’m crossing my fingers that the 2025 Y will have steer by wire, 48 volt, and air suspension!
Zach, your trade van reminds me of my old '89 VW Beetle - held together by wire, binder twine, LePage's glue and liquid metal. Drove until it died on the way to see the gal who became my wife. Funny, I'd never allow my kids now to drive a car in that shape.
You guys really riding that thing hard. It’s a death trap for everyone on the road. Says a lot that you are so interested in the reactions you get. That middle school girl comment is verrrry telling! So gross 🤢
my wife has seen it in person driving along side one. she still thinks its extremely ugly. She's also told me I flat out don't need a truck (which i really don't) :( Even tho I want this thing, I'm of the mindset that I simply do not need a 70k+ vehicle. I was sold on it with the announced price which made it a true value. at 70k tho, it becomes the model S or X that I don't want to stretch a budget for. (i prefer to spend that money on stock)
When I was 14 I saw a Rolls Royce glide past me. I wanted one so bad I saved and saved. I bought my first RR 69 shadow before I was 21. Couldn't get real insurance but managed that by getting a trade insurance 😂. I then taxi rode a model S P100d in 2015. That was my switch. Yes I finally got my S and it's beyond amazing 🤩. Save hard on a mission and I'm wishing you luck to get your baby you want.
I get so jealous listening to you talk about your fantastic Cyber truck, all I csn do is stick my fingers in my ears and go nanana. Lol. Someday perhaps I will afford a second hand one.
Interesting point about gender neutrality in Cybertruck interest. A female friend, with no truck or car interest reached out to let me know she saw a Cybertruck. What a social phenomena!
After the hype there comes the reality check. CT is really cheap on the inside and that is just as striking as the brilliant exterior design. Happened to me. I have had a reservation. Then i came to sit inside one, touch the buttons, open the liftgate and boom, I am not spending 60+ on that fragile plastic spread all over the truck. YMMV, but I’d rather get an X
For the purposes of hauling and towing, CT is mathematically incapable of beating internal combustion trucks with similar load specs. Its battery weighs 722% more than the Diesel in a fully-fueled Ram 2500 Cummins, while the CT has ~1/3 the range while towing. The stainless steel is just as idiotic as it was on the Delorean. I've seen a few CT's in person, but I've never seen one that didn't look filthy.
I've seen "out of spec" video when they gone from one side to other of U.S. and Cybertruck was like 2nd. I love Tesla and i can see plenty Model 3 and Model Y in Lithuania and maybe some day i will see Cybertruck.
It's fun to watch Tesla share holders try to pump stock. Keep it up Boyz. You're right. Cybertruck is the most amazing truck ever built! $100k for a truck with 90 miles of towing range is amazing. Think of all the books you'll read between charges.
Agreed, the Cybertruck is so killer! The only thing is, I hope they can put the range extender down in the structural battery pack rather than in the bed. Right now, the Cybertruck will have to stop every 100 miles or so to charge when it's towing 11,000 lbs. If I'm on a road-trip, I usually stop every 3-4 hours or so which is anywhere from 200-300 miles, not every 100 miles. Stopping every 100 miles to charge a truck for half an hour will be so time consuming.
Now that is a good review, not good in the way that everything you said was good about it. It was good because everything you said was very informative. A mystery is very true comment. Quick story when I was a kid, my father worked for Chrysler and in the summer of 1965 he purchased a 1966 Dodge Charger for my sister. We drove from Greenbelt Maryland to Virginia Beach, Virginia. Back in the day until you didn’t see the new cars until they were released at the dealerships. People were going nuts over seeing this fastback on the road. Every time we stopped people got out of their card, walked off of the sidewalks to get a closer look. The Cybertruck is the very same thing. The future is now.
It rusts, and all the sharp parts make it ridiculously dangerous if you have kids, and I think very useless design as a truck. Elon must be paying you. Lose your money.
There is a channel where a guy did a cannonball run using nothing but a model 3 and solar. He carried the panels in the back of the M3. It would be fun to see that done using the Cybertruck. More space for the panels, but uses more electricity. Which would be better?
Tesla superchargers still require vehicles to back in to charge. When towing, it means disconnecting the load each time to charge. I think doing that three times on a trip will quickly reduce the driver’s enthusiasm for EV towing. Compare that experience with a gas/diesel station with pull-through refueling at virtually all stations.

The first known 4 wheel steering dates back to the age of steam. As do in hub motors.

Interesting. Thanks.
Hey Zac and Jesse congrats! Question. How much is your insurance on the Cybertruck?
Would love to know. Thanks so much!
Please apologise for the lie that Tesla built the machine that builds the machine when they have in fact bought the machines that build Teslas
I want to know more about the stated DJ equipment 2:18 is there’s a DJ Zac we don’t know about
Great video! Keep us informed when there is a car crash from people breaking their necks looking at your CyberTruck. 😂
Any chance you will be bringing it to Maine anytime soon?
So happy that you finally got it.
I hope the auto parking feature comes soon for the CyberTruck
Haha - never thought the guy hiding under the cap can talk so much. Is that the CT-influence?
Yes, I'm jealous.
Now I want a Dodge Flimble-Flamble.
So gross 🤢
A Cybertruck tow fairing like big rigs use would help with the towing range
Day one reserv coming tomorrow to VA.😊
regular truck bed is way more practical for work stop kidding yourself
still no supercharger or any tesla charger between coeur d' alene, idaho and kalispell, montana, or superior, montana. no not everywhere.
Replacement parts have turned out to be cheap. The tailgate plastic is $60.
my wife has seen it in person driving along side one. she still thinks its extremely ugly.
The Cybertruck and the Hyundai Santa Fe should have a child and name it the Cyberpunk. I always wanted a Subaru Brat but never got one.
Electric Hyundai Santa Cruz would be cool
This show is awesome guys. It looks like i am subscribed but this is probably only the 2nd time I've seen it. ???
Every time I see one I like it more… Saw 5 today in Los Angeles….
VIN 1414……..not long after you….no hubcaps yet….Lots of interest here in central Florida
Congrats on finally getting it!!
I just came to say that, I’ll have to watch the video later
Smaller, in person, than I expected.
They have to pump TSLA with how much the stock has lost recently.
My mother talked about her daddy buying a Model T truck. It was used and you had to go up hill backwards. :-)
Especially since you will need to unhook the trailer every time you charge.
@@TroySavary Exactly. This is why an electric pickup truck needs a 500+ mile range in my opinion.
I still drive my 1986 Dodge Flimbleflamble.
Please make a Tesla Semi and Cybertruck side by side video !
Of course women love the truck! It looks like a fridge makes them feel at home. Hahahahaha.
Hoping to buy one some day.
Great input on the cybertruck.
It rusts, and all the sharp parts make it ridiculously dangerous if you have kids, and I think very useless design as a truck. Elon must be paying you. Lose your money.
I am actually happy for you guys you should have got one on the relese they, I don't know why they denied you that.
There is a channel where a guy did a cannonball run using nothing but a model 3 and solar. He carried the panels in the back of the M3. It would be fun to see that done using the Cybertruck. More space for the panels, but uses more electricity. Which would be better?
You received a Foundation CT?
Stair by wire means you don't have to get the stearingpool true your body in a crash. Wish is great!
What do you do if you get a flat? Are they run flat tires?
You can buy a spare tire, but it goes in the bed unfornunatly.
you boys are happy and this is great
The million dollar question. Range both hauling and not hauling.
