    Thanks for reviewing this brand new unit! I totally agree, its for basic measurements and I think it will do this very well! Its impressive how cheap such equipment can be produced today.

      Yes... and very easy to use... of course as its limitations, but yeah... I liked. As I explained, if you're starting you'll use it with arduinos and low complexity projects, more than enough 😁 thank you for watching and your nice comment! 👍

    I like the fact it has a built-in function generator in it. That's handy! A lot of the cheap oscopes don't offer that.

    I never had an oscilloscope and I am looking for one on Ali express now and found this one. Decided to see on youtube if someone did a review. Yours is very nicely done and you have shown everything. Of course I would like to take part in the contest :) Muito obrigado por o video. I just searched on your website and its not really clear where to leave the information.

      Not there yet, I have do the review of the other test equipment first and in the end of this month or start the next month I will post a video explaining how everything is going to happen, that video will be clearly identified as giveway rules or something like that, just subscribe and keep watching. When the video is released, the website will have a zone created so you can leave there your e-mail. Thank you for watching and best of luck for the "contest", its more a raffle... something like that! Just to be clear and to follow the rules, UA-cam is not affiliated with this "contest" in any way.

      Glad I could help! It is a "simple" oscilloscope but for the "normal" tasks measuring signals and that kind of stuff, it will do the job, more advance things like using math functions to add a signal value to the second channel or stuff like that, you'll need something more robust. Thank you for watching and your comment!

    Hey, so i'm looking for a cheap but decent beginner's scope to be able measure and monitor real time voltage vs current waveforms on a pwm triac based circuit that i'm building to drive an ignition coil and a dc motor as well, to spin spark gap spheres. I want to feed the coil with minimum current draw, so I want to be able to monitor current dwell time along with voltage. I will need some kind of current clamp to do this. Is this scope you show here capable of doing this? I was also checking out the ones you mentioned from Hantek, and also the Kiprim DS1202 looks pretty simple. I am new to these scopes and need some guidance. There is a smaller blue AC clamp from LOTO (AC05A). Will this work with the 1014D? What about the Kiprim? Looking to get one of the three scopes I mentioned above. Receiving one from you would be awesome, but I would want to make sure it would work with my formentioned circuit. Also I will probably need a 10x probe for current and a 100x probe for voltage, as it'll be pulsed with 400 vdc. Anyway, not asking for the free scope, but at least maybe some guidance here with the formentioned scope choices and compatibility with good 100x probes for my application. Thank you for at least reading this.

    • @TechCornerTV
      @TechCornerTV  2 роки тому

      Hey Mark... when I can I give free scopes, that one was given last year, right now I have the FNIRSI 138PRO on a giveaway, you can try to win, it will run for more 14 days, also on the giveaway the Uni-T UT61E Multimeter... a very nice one. Regarding the current probe, I think it will be ok, but please understand that the Loto is a special case, everything is dealt on software, so I'm not sure that the values read on the probe will have a direct correlation on any other oscilloscope, but in theory it will work. Thanks for watching! 👍

    Question please. When the frequency measurement for a channel is selected, what is the lowest resolution that it can display - I.E. can a 2.35 Hz reading be shown for this low frequency? For voltage, 2.3xx OR in summation, how many decimal places can be displayed for measurements? Thanks for a concise review of this scope's capabilities.... Hank

    • @TechCornerTV
      @TechCornerTV  Рік тому

      Hi, I no longer have mine to check, but, it should be able to read frequencies in the Hz range without a problem, normally the issues appears in the higher frequencies where the ADC has no speed to capture all it needs to present a nice waveform. Thanks for watching!

    • @TechCornerTV
      @TechCornerTV  2 роки тому +1

      Hello, I don't think so. You'll be working with low voltage, but anyway, that doesn't seem to be the main issue. The problem is connecting the common of the two probes to different commons, at least is what they say in the user manual. Cheers! 👍

      I think 37min is getting a bit too much for a simple review. Especially this oscilloscope isnt that spec filled. I would suggest if it is not absolutely necessary to try to cut things down. Of course if a product has A LOT of functions and options then you cannot make it shorter. But people tend to run away if they see too long videos. Especially reviews is more about taking a quick but deep look into a product(that helps to decide wether buy it or not) but it should not end up as a trilogy ;) But of course people can jump and skip parts in a video. So if a video is very long it helps a lot if you devide it in sections. There is an option for that.

    • @TechCornerTV
      @TechCornerTV  3 роки тому

      @@Stinktierchen Huge thank you on this very productive comment! I tried to be more succinct in this review, but as you just witnessed I failed miserably 😊 but yeah, I'll try to add section, I started these channels in january a bit more than 3 months ago, so still getting the hang of it, but yeah, I'll try to be more succinct in the next reviews, probably a better editing will help and cut the dead times... I don't know, I have to organize better what I need to talk... kudos for your comment, very constructive. 👍

      @Stinktierchen 3 роки тому

      I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't know I get the time to record that, I am a little overwhelm with work, I have the Consumer Electronics/Gadgets channel, electronics and mailbags and the first two are in portuguese and english, so double work. Im not complaining, Im loving it, but I still have to record the video for the review of Korad power supply, JCD soldering station and UNI-T UT61E (this one I am not sure if still gonna do one) and the videos for giveway itself, so a total of 12 videos only for those three products. But I can explain, in FFT mode you'll have the normal signal on the screen but also a 1/4 of screen division with a "kind of" spectrum analyser. Really sorry not being more helpful, but if I manage to get the time I'll make a followup video before sending the oscilloscope to the winner! Thank you for watching and participating.

      Hello Ramar, no the amplitude/voltage of the *function generator* is fixed to 2.5V... obviously you can change the amplitude of the signal on the screen for each channel. So to recap, *function generator* fixed amplitude, signal on screen you can change the amplitude of the signal. Hope it helped. Thanks for watching. 👍

But since I have this request and some users mentioned the FFT and few other issues, I will try to record a new video this week with all these topics before it is sent to the winner. Please notice the TRY, because I still have to the video for the next giveaway (Korad KA3005D) and a few more stuff, but I'll try to get this new video in. ⚠ For those that already bought this unit ⚠ The auto key is your friend, my opinion on this oscilloscope is the same you saw on the video, awesome for begginers, BUT if you change the parameters of the signal, for example on a function generator, you SHOULD press AUTO. The oscilloscope (the one I have here at least) may give you wrong values and has a lazzy update. I was about to send this unit back because of this. Do you have the same issue on your unit?

      @TotiTolvukall Рік тому

      Hey Hugo! Yes, I've been having the same issues with my FNIRSI 1014D. These issues as well as the general inaccuracy in voltage measure and the fact that it is really not a 100MHz scope made me question my acquisition. On a hunting trip through the wilderness that is Ali Express, I stumbled upon a Rigol MSO5072 that included ALL upgrades except the 4-channel upgrade and the bandwidth upgrades - for only about US$900-and-some-change. Couldn't pass on it. I can without doubt state that I upgraded from a bicycle with a flat tire to a fully equipped F1 racer (esp. if one takes a moment to visit the EEVblog). Now my 1014D feels like a Tonka Toy :)

    Which instrument do you recommend for electronics 1014D or 2C23T FNIRSI

    • @TechCornerTV
      @TechCornerTV  7 місяців тому

      Hi, you're comparing too really different devices. 1104D is just an oscilloscope but it "allow you to work" with bw's of 100Mhz and has a very nice 7" monitor and is basically for desktop usage. On the other hand, the 2C23T, has also 2 channels but you will have only 10Mhz of bw and a very small screen when compared with 1104D. You gain a multimter also in there and a better signal generator. Both are ok for electronics, what matters is the way you'll be using both of them. If you don't have a multimeter already and don't mind the screen size and don't need cursors or XY mode, the 2C23T can be a very nice option. The multimeter is pretty decent. Thanks for watching.

    I just got one of these but I'm quite frustrated with it. I followed the guide as best I could, but can't seem to get a Lissajous pattern using the onboard the signal generator. Has anybody been able to do this?

    • @TechCornerTV
      @TechCornerTV  2 роки тому

      Hello Maurice, for a Lissajous pattern you will need to siganl sources, the internal signal generator will give only one, because for that kind of signals we are talking about X and Y, that's why it's called the XY mode, in this case the channel 1 will provide one set of coordinates and the channle 2 the other set (y), is only from the math between the 2 that you get some kind of figure. Hope it helped! Thanks for watching! 👍

    1. Display:A + B, B inverted
    2. Time/div: 20msec/div
    3. Volts/div: 20mV/div

      Hi Peter, let me be totally honest with you, I did that review almost 2 years ago and I gave away the oscilloscope to a channel subscriber. I don't remember at the moment, but I almost 100% sure that oscilloscope doesn't mathematical functions. If it's not in the video, don't have it. If you really need that, I suggest you to see this video where I review the Owon SDS1102 and the Hantek DSO20D10 in a showdown ( ua-cam.com/video/iqfm1pN2Uac/v-deo.html ) in minute 7:50 ot that video, you have a comparation table and I also don't see there math functions, so 1. of you list will not be possible. Take a look in the video, you will probably see something you like. I have also reviews for both oscilloscopes mentioned here. Thanks for watching!

    Great review! Are you tested it with 100MHz frequency? Also, I seen one interesting video about FNIRSI - 1013D. The problem is that it does not sense voltages below 1v and only when measured voltage is above 1v, oscilloscope show voltage value on the screen correctly. Could you make this test and write down on the comments have this oscilloscope model mentioned problem or not. Thank you!

    • @TechCornerTV
      @TechCornerTV  3 роки тому +1

      No, I did not tested up to 100Mhz because my Rigol DG1022Z only goes up to 60Mhz, but don't forget, the 3 to 1 rule... you should have a oscilloscope 3 times faster than the signal you're trying to measure, so it should handle signals pretty well up to ~40Mhz. Regarding specifically your question about the voltage bellow 1V, yeah the signal were all over the place, but my Rigol wasn't doing very well also, so I was surprised both ways. So the params were 25Mhz frequency,sinewave with a 1Vpp. My Rigol on port 2 of function generator identified the frequency perfectly at ~25Mhz but the Vpp voltage was around ~1.3V, Vmax around ~650mV and Vmin ~-650mV, that make me think if the problem is on the oscilloscope, the function genarator or the cable... probably the cable. The FNIRSI, some params on port 1 of function generator identified the frequency at 4.64Mhz (??) the Vpp at 888mV, Vmax at -1.06V and Vmin at -1.94V, so again, all over the place. I will try to figure out because the frequency is always around ~4 to ~5Khz weird behaviour. I did notice before. Thank you for watching the video and your comment.

      Hey Glenn, nice to ear, the 1000 volts probe is really a bonus and you're right the fact that works with a power bank is a nice feature. Thanks for watching! 👍

    Thank you for a good review. Even much more expensive equipment has shortcomings. Not a bad oscilloscope for this price.

      @TechCornerTV  3 роки тому

      Very true! I did some more testings about it has some issues, thats true. But for the moment, I stick with my opinion that for begginers it would be a great buy, honestly, as I already mentioned over here in other comment, I don't have any experience with other oscilloscope other than this and my Rigol and probably there out there other brands that are as easy as this one, but, my review is about this one and for what I saw I liked. A second analysis show some issues with low voltages, but still investigating those. Thanks for watching and your comment,

    • @TechCornerTV

      Hey Lawrence, well you can power it with any USB charger (even with a powerbank) considering it is 5V 2A, lower than this you«ll have very weird results. Thanks for watching and your comment! 👍

I can't figure what they are thinking, because I am on the FNIRSI whatsapp group (you should join to) and some users report they received 2 chargers and one of them is 1A that will not even work and others like me and you not even receive one... QA there is a concept not implemented yet. But I do hope that you enjoy your and put it for a good use 😁

      @@TechCornerTV I almost threw out my adaptor by accident. It was embedded in some of the styrofoam packing in the box. It was exactly the same thickness as the styrofoam and was also white, so I didn't notice it. Fortunately, when I went to set up the 1014D I realized the adapter was missing, headed down to the basement and found it! Good thing I hadn't tossed the trash yet!
