It’s glaring to everyone the left side is off balance. Plus, Trent has to play RB - Walker has been atrocious defensively all tournament. While offering nothing going forward except for a deflected cutback.

There really is an uncomfortable conversation to be had about Declan Rice.
Never picks the ball at the first phase, refused to pass forwards, too many touches on the ball, too lethargic on the ball and doesn't dictate the play. Odegaard covers massively for his flaws at Arsenal and now we don't have a profile like that in the midfield it is really exposing Rice's flaws. If Maddison/Eze were in the 8 with Rice, we would see Rice look much better because we don't have to ask him to do things he is not good at.
Odegaard isn’t the deep lying playmaker controlling the game, that’s Jorginho or Partey’s job.

It comes down to who do you want to prioritize. Do you prioritize Kane, Bellingham, or foden. Pick one and set the rest of the side to fit that player and the team will look better. As much as it sucks to maybe not have all these amazing players on the pitch at the same time, if they can’t play Together then they can’t.

Henry's take on Southgate is baffling! People have to remember how much we underachieved under Sven. Okay so because he's gone further that's good? Southgate has never beaten a team that we were underdogs against. He has lost big games against teams we should have beaten. We have lost those games because of his tactics. He's been shocking.

Pat, I usually agree with your takes, but you have a garbage take on Mainoo. He’s just about the best progressive passer in the whole squad. He is incredible in possession and is very press resistant. He finds areas of space and creates space for others to run in behind when opposition players drift to mark him and he offers width in different positions. Love you Pat, but awful take❤
Southgate did a great job with a mediocre England, but he cannot get to the next level. He cannot manage players with this level of talent.
