- The Euros are now over so it was only right that Henry, Patrick and I turn our attention to the transfer window and look at which club is winning the summer transfer window! Obvious candidates like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are looked into, however other outside shouts like Manchester United, Aston Villa and Brighton may surprise you!

These Brighton signing are incredible. They’ve graduated from finding hidden gems through scouting and are now picking up some of the best upcoming players in Europe from that £20 million - £40 million price range. Their business reminds me of 2016-2018 Liverpool.

Emery was waiting to see Kosta Novalkovic a RB we bought in the winter who just arrived. He's looked electric in pre season so far . Ramsey back on the left . So i obviously a few more big singnings but the euros just ended. Makes more sense when you know the club.

Villa are cooking & they'll be more signings yet,we've already got a great young RB that we bought in January,but he stayed with Red Star Belgrade on loan till the end of the season,his name is Kosta Nedeljkovic & he looks fantastic & is one too watch. A young CDM came in called Enzo Barrenechea & again looks a great player, Samuel illing junior also looks good & will improve like everyone will under Unai Emery & with Ross Barkley,Jaden Philogene got 12 goals/6 assists in 32 games last season & will do well,Amadou Onana signing is exactly what Villa need & Lewis Dobbin will benefit working with Villas elite coaching staff & Morgan Rogers will get much better this season. Villa are doing smart business & i'm confident with what Monchi & our recruitment people are doing...... up the mighty Villa!!! 😊

Currently Villa have Jhon Duran as a backup forward. From what I've heard I don't think Emery enjoys working with him. But from my perspective as a fan he is fun to watch and has a lot of potential

Tell me you only look at stats without telling me you only look at stats. This obsession with data driven football is so boring. Yes, it can show you a lot, but theres a reason scouts still do IN PERSON scouting. Some things you can only see with the eye. Douglas Luiz is a high quality, very very talented footballer. Champions league quality. Just not in that "elite" bracket so paying elite money wasn't right for clubs like arsenal. But Juventus have paid 50m for a player who, if he was English, would have been 80m.
Villa fan here - Luiz take is craxy from Pat he was our best player for the first 6 months of last season and took a drop off when Kamara got injured, Luiz is not a CDM and needs to be played with one. When played next to one him as an 8 is exceptional under the right system. I do agree with the villa takes on our signings though, hopefully get the upgrades we need.
I think if Villa sign João Felix then they have won it by far. But we'll see.
Yoro is another Maguire. He's priced at 50 odd mil- the price tag wull be a burden he is going to carry. Can the fans be patient enough with him?
While United need to be careful, the person in the middle seriously hates United. I get caution but the view doesn't have to be the worst case scenario for every player.
Also, Manchester United weren't 'pumped' by Borussia Mönchengladbach, and in fact just haven't played them all

Forest selling Mangala niakhate Vlach for circa 75m and replacing them with Anderson milenkovic and Carlos Miguel for around 50m deserves credit considering your previous criticisms on the club.
Villa signed red star belgrades right back last season and loaned him back for that season, he has been playing pre season and looking very good. So we have 2 good right backs, what we need to do is sell, we have 3 left backs of decent quality and one of them has to go, my guess is it will be dinge as he is on a high wages and the eldest of the 3. Joao Felix to cover the vacant spot left by diaby who played 10 not right wing most of last season, but we have buendia and rogers who can play there but i would like another one.
Players Man United have bought/are after are great floor raisers but none are really ceiling raisers, not within next 2 years at least but potentially longer term, could be good and for the price points, are reasonable (Yoro, to be confirmed over next 3-4 years on whether that high a fee was worth it). Yoro looks like he has the talent at times but he's a long way off being a starting CB in the Premier League. He was decent for an 18 year old at Lille last season, but struggled heavily when we aren't accounting for his age as a reason. He was bullied off the ball A LOT last season, so priority needs to improve his size and physicality to succeed in this league.

Striker, until they know what is happening with Duran their hands are tied. Please remember clubs are restricted to squad sizes so you have to be able to move players on before recruiting more.

As a United fan myself, I get the excitement and tendency to overhype signings. It's refreshing to see United being proactive in the transfer market for once. If they manage to secure players like Ugarte, De Ligt, Branthwaite, Frimpong (though unlikely), Ferdi, and possibly Toney (recently linked), it could transform their squad significantly. Criticisms of the average response to their transfers so far miss the point; United's proactive approach signals they're evolving into a serious club, something we should appreciate more.

My thoughts of yorro is could be like what arsenal did with Saliba a loan after a season at United settling in and then when he comes back he is a starter and could be one of the best cb in the league but I think it’s still too early to say he’ll be a starter every match so another cb maybe two for United should be a priority

Yes, if you sell a player for less than you bought him for then you made a loss on the player overall. People don't understand what amortization is.
