Do your bowrider’s gunwales seem to be closing in on you and cramping your style? Cobalt has the cure: the R30, the newest and biggest bowrider in its R-Series. Thanks to the Free Space Reclamation technique for maximizing cockpit space, you’ll be able to invite all your friends and they won’t feel like commuters in a Tokyo subway. Of course it doesn’t hurt that the R30 has a 9-foot, 6-inch beam and is 30 feet, 8 inches long. The cockpit features a multiposition seatback to port that can form a companion seat next to the captain or become a rear-facing recliner. At the stern, a lounger has room for up to four passengers when the boat is at rest. For sunning, the seatbacks flip down to become the center cushions in a wrestling mat-sized sunpad. The stern bench in the cockpit also has flippable backrests to form either a cockpit bench seat or a four-wide rear-facing chaise lounge.

Please make the hand rest lower and wider and longer for the front bow seats. For reference I will give you exemple regal 3300 the hand rests should be comfortable like that. Anyways I’m not here to give free advertisements for regal. Cobalt better and higher brand in my opinion. And also courtesy blue LED’s lights to illuminate the floor areas thru the boat thank you 🙏.

Slow and heavy nice boat .Cobalt makes nice quality boats but for the price 60 mph should be the max speed.

You admitted it's heavy. That hurts speed.

If it improves the ride, that's a trade-off we would make any day.

Cobalt should put a larger engine in this that would solve the speed issue. There are a lot of upscale boats that will do 80 mph stock. Top speed is as important as ride to a lot of people especially when a Bayliner 175 will do 48 mph and cost next to nothing. If you are paying big bucks you should expect your boat to stand out not just in quality but performance too.

I threw up in my mouth a little when you mentioned Bayliner. I don't even where where to start.

There are actually few, if any, boats in this category that will do 80 mph. That number is really reserved for go-fast models that typically don't offer the amenities boats like the Cobalt offer. The 302 with twin 6.2L engines only goes 52+. Check out MerCruisers performance bulletins and you'll see what I am talking about. www.mercurymarine.com/en/us/performance-tests/inboard-and-sterndrive/
