On my Active Skin 8 the loops don't exist on the back to attach the bungie cord. However I find that if you put the poles with the handle side down in the front pockets they sit very well. one bungie at the top to lock them in place like you show but it's the pointy end pointing out (it's not near your face so it's OK). This also stops mud and stuff getting on your clothes. Just thought I'd share. I have the BD poles.
Thank you for demonstrating different methods! Very helpful. Do you prefer the belt over the custom quiver? Maybe you didn't have it available for the video, but I was wondering how it fares next to these other methods. I just bought the custom quiver, too bad I didn't see this video first.
sorry for late reply - belt > quiver > vest vest better to stop when stowing to secure properly quiver - easiest to stow/retrieve but hate added bulk and bounce belt - easiest solution. anything with dual elastic bands will suffice. need practice to stow/retrieve on the run. bounce at hip level is not as irritating. depending on how it bounces, you can also tell if they are secured properly without looking. if so, readjust whilst running. easy. im using the salomon pulse belt atm, supplemented by vest for longer races. avoid the salomon sense pro belt as the backpocket is unsuitable for softflask - bounces out whilst running when full. the newer salomon advance belt is a maybe but the front pocket now has the same problem where softflasks bounce out. it has side pockets which i have tested with the flasks and they are better. can even carry 2 500mls. however, they are quite fiddly to reinsert into the side pockets.
I normally stow them using a running belt. having tested that setup of stowing them in front, you can still drink from the flasks. i normally use a spare hand to grab the vest/flask side to aid it to mouth. so I guess you can manoeuvre it however you like.
it's the salomon pulse belt. I only got it because it was 50% off from another seller. there are lots of other brands too and I think they'd need to do alot to really screw up such a simple design. just make sure that it has a function to stow poles. and also like I mentioned in the video, you can sew in a velcro strap to the poles so that it's easier to stow using the running belt or else the legs of the poles stick out all over the place. makes the process far smoother for me. zero hiccups since these modifications.
They should have. Contact your seller. Otherwise contact salomon to see if they can send you some. Lastly, alot of people don't use them and they seem to be the same design amongst salomon vests so you can also ask around other runners if you are in a club or post on fb groups.
I think they go by chest size and there's a size guide on their website. Most online stores allow returns anyway and the way they are packaged, you can always try it and put it back without damaging it needing to tear anything
This is how 99% of how-to videos need to be. Clear and concise. Thank you so much for the help!
Thank you so much for making this video. So helpful and great to see the alternate methods as well!
Thank You for the great tips. I did not see many of the tips any place else.
Thank you so much for this how to video, I was a little lost and thinking about getting a dedicated system just for my poles when it was all there!
Thank you so much! I was at a loss and this helped a lot. Not sure of which method is going to work for me, but now I understand options to test out!
I swore I can't figure it out myself! No clues on how to use those bungees before! Thanks!
Thank you very much for this video! It's very helpful also been searching for how to attach these staps. 👌
I have been searching youtube on how to do this... thank you for posting
So handy. And it applies to other vests. I have an Osprey.
What an excellent vid.
Thank you, this was very helpful! Personally, I like the poles in the back pocket system.
Thanks for showing so many options 🙏🏼
Ty bro, more clear than Salomon tuto.
Well done. Thanks...Looks like the Solomon sleeve might be the way to go. ;)
Thank you soooo much for this video, that was bery, very helpful 🫶
Good point with the belt at the very end!
Thank you. Mystery solved. I'm going to go and redo mine now.

thanks... another extra way to stow the poles that salomon doesn't explain
Thanks for the tip, but do the poles get in the way of the soft flasks stored in the front pockets?
Thank you so much! Very useful! 🤗
Fantastic, helpful video - many thanks!
Thanks for this great Video !
Great video thank you so much

vest better to stop when stowing to secure properly
quiver - easiest to stow/retrieve but hate added bulk and bounce

THANK YOU!!! This was perfect!
Very helpful - thanks!
Thank you! Much appreciated
Excellent video!
Great video! Thank you!
Maybe a dumb question -- but where did you actually get the bungee cord? My Activ Skin Vest doesn't actually have one that came with it.
Mine were hidden away in a pocket.
does the hoop come with pro? I cannot find it with my vest
Thank you bro from Russia mountain trail
Merci beaucoup du Québec! 🤙🏼
Thank you so much for this! How do you find stowing the poles at the front while at the same time using the flasks at the front?
you won't poke your eye doing it :)
I normally stow them using a running belt. having tested that setup of stowing them in front, you can still drink from the flasks. i normally use a spare hand to grab the vest/flask side to aid it to mouth. so I guess you can manoeuvre it however you like.
Thanks..good idea😊
Does sense pro comes with those strings??
Exactly! Using another running belt 😅
Great help thank you.
They have a quiver option too
Thanks so much 🙏🙏
Oh, what Salomon belt do you use?
it's the salomon pulse belt. Merci pour la vidéo , comment mettre le carquois pour les bâtons sur le sense 10 ?
Merci
Thanks,Very helpful
Thanks!
Legend
you know where you can buy the laces, they weren't present in my salomon sense pro 10

hi what size do you wear? im 5'10" and 75kg

get fixed length poles, take the handle straps off, don't need the velcro strap...
apart from that good video.
Also it is easier with a quiver.
Great viedeo, but would be easier if you start from the back 😅because best ideas you left for the end 😅
A simple belt works best!
Demonstration of retrieval would be great to see while running off road ... looks utterly ridiculous and cumbersome
Those are going to snap apart after very little use.
clip your nails.
Thanks!
Thanks 🙏🏽
