You have such a big heart ❤️....unfortunately, having one tends to have demoms .... just remember in your lowest ebbs this Journey 😊.....this trip wasn't just about the miles but the experiences and finding yourself again ....those are the important things .....bin your past there is nothing you can do about it !......just fight forward like your doing and find that happy place!! So love watching your journey x
Thank you so much lovely. In a weird way, I'm glad this trip broke me, because it changed it from a hike to a journey, and although I was very much incredibly unstable for the last 700miles, they were probably the best. I lived in the moment for once in my life
It’s called a plume on the Galea (helmet) back to front is a soldier, side to side is a commander. Hope your feet are ready for the next march me little muddy one. Nice to have a Jules with you for a bit, the miles go by faster. Looking well coordinated in your new gear. Get a tarp under that tent, cheap fix, great to watch the long awaited part 2 (p.s. I think Pete may have pee’d in that water🤣)😁😁😁😁👍🏽♥️⛺️🥾🥾
Couldn’t agree more on the Nemo- I have one, bought for the TeAraroa, great for that in sheltered spaces. Scottish summer - just doesn’t cut the mustard, use the foot print as well but it’s just not stable in anymore than a breeze. ‘Lightweight is great until it’s not’ 😅
How great for the soul hiking and wild camping 🌲🔥 I hope when you return the trappings of modern life don't bug you too much! Fab videos mate you're a little steam train 👏
500 miles that a crazy achievement well in mate loving these video's keep them coming bet it was nice to have some company on this one atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍🤙
Congratz! Its a nice watch for me since I have done all that by myself last month and walked from Edinburgh to Dunbar part 4 times already since I live near by and wild camped along the way every time. John Muir was the best!
Your very tough enduring that pain you described and I hope you get a break from the aching feet. You absolutely fabulous for giving it go, very impressed. ❤❤
Thanks for another glimpse into your crazy world loving it ,may be try hoka shoes better on tarmac as I get planter and they keep it manageable, stay safe and happy trails
Hi muddy boots ! I suffered with plantar fasciitis for many years and was treated by an osteopath training school in Maidstone . Took a few weeks but they have completely cured me . Admittedly I don’t walk as many miles as you though but do feel your pain . Good luck with your adventures , but need to look after those precious feet with some treatment 😢
So good to see another video from you, and the scenery on that trail was amazing. I know your tent is not up to par but haw is that pack working out for you? If I remember right it is fairly new and only used a couple of time to try it out. Haven't heard you say anything bad about it so I'm guessing it is good. Love your videos, you have such a bubbly personality even though your in pain. You are doing great and I can't wait for the next video. Take care and stay safe.
Hi I'm thinking of doing the end to end trail next summer . I'm looking for a bit of advice on what maps you use that show where bothies and campsites are located oh and also water sources. Thanks for your videos really enjoy watching them
I’m by no means a expert but this was always something I thought about with super lite tents and for that a fair few super lite camping items. To make it super lite what are you loosing?. I get the higher price purely because you are buying more expensive materials and / or they need different techniques to put them together because they are so much lighter. I get items like titanium over stainless or even aluminium but when I see so many super lighters who say how much they’re feet hurt or the tent leaks or the sleeping bag is cold or waterproof clothes are only shower proof I can’t help but feel there must be a mix needed of fit for purpose items and super lite?. Again I’m not saying anything like I think I’m right in this as I have 0 knowledge but it’s more a question I ask myself why not use proper walking boots with compression and support and will be breathable but also waterproof and a tent that is not made of tissue paper as most of them look like they are 😅. When people say yes but heavy equipment is not good for long walks I’m confused by this as well yes it’s harder work but how much would a fit for purpose set up be more than a super lite and how much more would say a polar explorer or a military personnel on patrol carry? It could be a fair compromise if it protects you and helps keep your body from breaking?. Again though this is me purely asking the question I don’t want someone seeing my comment and thinking I’m saying bad things about becc’a Iv loved her content and have followed her since she came on east Anglian bushcraft’s channel it’s purely I don’t get it. 👍🏻 anyway keep up the slog and keep on keeping on with it 👌🏻💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊
You're very lucky to have got through the night at Yellowcraigs without being hassled by the council nature rangers. They get pretty serious if you camp in the dunes there. They haven't a legal leg to stand on but lots of the less respectful camping folk have been out there burning holes in the delicate dunes.
Well done on compleating The John Muir Way 👍 Great video nice to see your friend on it 🙂 Sorry to see your foot trouble continues agree provention is better tha cure👍⭐ My pack is just a mass of carrier bags black bin bags & sponges it looks like the inside of a black bin on collection day 🙃 But it works‼ The tent yes well I use single skin Argos cheapo tent its wind proof with crossed poles & no skirt Suprisingly water proof has an effective ground sheet £35 !! Waterproofs for walking are West German Army gummy ones heavy/ sweaty/ bulky☹ But ideal for the British climate (or indeed the German one )🙂 Boots mian are so solid I have little idea what I'm walking over They do girl size work boots you know .😑(just saying)!! looking foeward to the next one 🤩😍🤗😗
Sorry to hear about your tent, your feet, the tarmac, even the fact it rained a little because it's been utterly butterly dry and warm recently. Still, at least you're able to smile about your adventure.
"I'm a broken woman mate, I'm a broken woman. There's no f*ck%n benches for miles..."😂 The solution to this would be shock absorbing insoles (silicone). They make hard ground a bit more tolerable. 14:22
"The bathtub of my tent..." 😆. This is easily fixed: you NEED a goretex bivi bag! This will keep you and your sleeping bag dry, but not the groundsheet or the thermarest. 17:18
Well doesnt UA-cam recommend some appropriate things, now and again? I'm from Dunbar, but live in Falmouth, and here's someone walking to Dunbar, on her way home to Falmouth! Go on then, I'll bite. 🥾🥾
You seriously need your money back MBL … I’d pitch there IF I could still walk been in wheelchair for some 30 years years now but I still have my kit . I was an out and out hummock user …
The Antonine Wall was only used by the Romans for 20 years (AD141-161). I've been exploring as much as I can of the Antonine Wall. The Falkirk Wheel is stunning. I actually mananged to take a trip on it. It's just Arthur's Seat. Not King Arthur's Seat.
No matter what you couldve done with the water it'd always look like your guzzling piss! Still not taken by your cooking tho! Keep up the good work. You have some serious skills in terms of your presenting!
22:00 15/6/2023 if you are following the east coast all the way down .Just wondering where you are now ,as there is some lovely wildlife around the Farnes and Druridge bay is gorgeous.
I found your channel this morning, 20th July, i saw your appearance in one of Hazey's videos, some time ago now, i've spent the day watching your back catalogue and now looking forward to seeing the rest of your journey
Don't worry about it the Yorkshire heathens christen there kids in shite like that so it should be good to drink the Lancastrians on the other hand have some of the best water in the world hope this helps muddy 😀👍
Turns out I'm a lot quicker at hiking than i am at waling the length of the UK 😂🙈 next video has just gone up, hope you like it buddy xx m.ua-cam.com/video/1dPxjiyRJkg/v-deo.html

When this series ends it's going to be like watching the last episode of wacaday in the summer holidays back in the day....
Thanks, I feel old now 🤣😂
Loving the adventure, but think I have missed the Great Glen Way?
Good luck on the Forth to Farne Way. Hope there’s a lot less tarmac.
There are cafe buses everywhere in the US. Awesome hikes.
So you are zig zagging your way home as you’ve gone from Helensburgh to Edinburgh. Good luck
Thank GOD you are still OK, i was getting worried about you
Maybe learn the herbs like yarrow to help with inflammation? And heather tea is so nice!! great vids thanks

A cheap tarp from Amazon to be used as a groundsheet would suffice.
you still walking your long epic walk waiting for your next video
My Nemo Dragonfly 2p also let's water come up through the floor. They make them too thin I'm sure
Well doesnt UA-cam recommend some appropriate things, now and again?
