Josefina is so beautiful and I love her face mold so much, it is incredibly versatile and fits so many dolls so well. The only downside is how many Josefinas end up walleyed. If they fixed that issue I think she'd be in more people's Top 5 AG Molds.
Yep! That’s exactly how I feel! It’s a nice sculpt but the eyes sit funny. They actually look better on camera, so I probably sound like a lair to anyone who doesn’t know from their own dolls lol.

I went to the AG store today for Addy and her birthday outfit and looked at all the dolls while I was there. Lila is such a beautiful doll but I swear half of the ones on display had their eyes facing outwards! I can definitely vouch for the wonkiness with Josefina molds lol

I’m sure you will find another opportunity to try it on her. Lol. I am pretty easy going with my dolls in that I don’t mind minor flaws. I feel it gives them character and uniqueness. Still it can be alarming to catch only one eye of a doll while walking by. Ha ha. 😂
The josefina mold is one of my favorites. Of the folks that you have, I also have Josefina, Tebecca, Grace, Lea and Evette. Have you seen Evelynroseag’s UA-cam video on all the different skin tones, face molds? She made an incredible spreadsheet where you can inventory your dolls (from a drop down menu so you don’t have to go hunting your dolls) and then at the end, you can see pie charts of how many if the different skin tones, face molds, etc that you have in your collection. It’s a really great tool to keep track of your collection.

And yes 🙈 I was about to buy a backup Claudie. For a minute I forgot I plan to use my current dolls if she ever gets more outfits. But the price was right!

So basically if i see a AG doll at TJ Maxx it wasn't popular. I have seen a couple there including the one with the blue hair. I haven't bought one let unless you count the two Wellie Wishers i have. Don’t have the space plus even on sale they are still expensive. That Meet outfit the Julie wears now gives off Our Generation doll vibes.

Thank you I loved the video review. I found every one of my dolls with the mold used for Claude and the one used for Truely Me 117 Grace? mold have their left eye "off" ( I only have a few). A few Josephina molds have that left eye just a little off, and I had to send one of my Grace molds back as an exchange. The same with my Claude doll but I can live with it because I have gotten used to it and I like the doll and the other ones too. If I remember right most of the Claude dolls in the store looked the same and she was on sale so I took the plunge and never regretted it.
@@JoanneSag oh yeah I forgot Marie Grace can have issues too! When I bought Kavi, I was so focused on her hair I originally brought home one with wonky eyes! I exchanged her lol. Claudie on the other hand, I’ve been really lucky with! And I have 16 between her and my Tiana dolls. I’m so glad you got her, but I wish you had a perfect one.

Not sure why but my Kira has also taken way more falls on her face than any other doll of mine. Her nose has needed some magic eraser help but otherwise she bounces back well 😅

Yeah those erasers work great! I only have one doll whose nose sadly couldn’t be fixed by a magic eraser. I then tried micro mesh on her and that just didn’t end well 😢😅
You might want to sell your Josefina and buy an old Pleasant Co version. They definitely show up on eBay and in Facebook groups from time to time.. She is so pretty. I purchased her as soon as she came out, and it was love at first sight. I don't see well enough, when looking at yours to see what's wrong with her. At least I can't see it on my TV. 😂 When did they start to make them differently? New mold? Or something else? Why mess with a good thing? Maybe a new manufacturer? Too bad, anyway.

Funny you don't like seeing the cloth bodies of your dolls. I don't like the eighteen inch doll genre. I hate big, over-sized heads and soft bodies on any doll. Blythe and Pullip dolls are my worst nightmare. But ... oddly enought I do have two eighteen inch doll lines. I have a couple "Life Of Faith" dolls and I have two "Magic Attic Club" Rose dolls. Both of these doll lines are full body vinyl, and "Magic Attic" bodies are much slimmer. Rose is suppose to be Indigenious, that's why I got it as well. Speaking of which, I've always had my eye on AG's Kaya for that reason. I love it but, I probably won't get it. I just can't get past the big head and soft bodies.
@@kevincook8888 I’ve never seen a Blythe or Pullip doll out of box in person. They don’t appeal to me, but there cute, so I see why they’re fun for others. And for the AG head size, because my first 18” dolls were Disney ily4ever and Healthy Roots, AG heads seem normal in comparison 🤣 But yes the weird joints around the cloth body and the stitching around the neck really break the illusion for me-but I don’t think it bothers other collectors. I only know about Life of Faith dolls because someone (I really don’t remember who now) did a video on AG “rip-offs”. Magic attic club I’ve seen pics floating around but didn’t know what they were (I googled them to see what you meant lol). Kaya is beautiful but if you’ve resisted AG this long, don’t do it! 🤣

But yes when Mattel started manufacturing AG, the dolls changed a LOT.

@@djackson4462 you’re welcome! I try to include the tm numbers - when I remember to write time down 🤣 - but then I talk so fast it’s easy to miss. I think most people prefer 82 over 108, but I love the painted lashes. Maybe one day I’ll have both and can do a comparison

@@scarletsavenger1367 haha I talk about indigo so much I sometimes forget to explain. It’s a Canadian bookstore chain that carried AG for a few years. They stopped last year and ended up putting everything left on clearance - including Lilah’s collection ☠️☠️

Funny you don't like seeing the cloth bodies of your dolls. I don't like the eighteen inch doll genre. I hate big, over-sized heads and soft bodies on any doll. Blythe and Pullip dolls are my worst nightmare. But ... oddly enought I do have two eighteen inch doll lines. I have a couple "Life Of Faith" dolls and I have two "Magic Attic Club" Rose dolls. Both of these doll lines are full body vinyl, and "Magic Attic" bodies are much slimmer. Rose is suppose to be Indigenious, that's why I got it as well. Speaking of which, I've always had my eye on AG's Kaya for that reason. I love it but, I probably won't get it. I just can't get past the big head and soft bodies.
@@kevincook8888 I’ve never seen a Blythe or Pullip doll out of box in person. They don’t appeal to me, but there cute, so I see why they’re fun for others. And for the AG head size, because my first 18” dolls were Disney ily4ever and Healthy Roots, AG heads seem normal in comparison 🤣
But yes the weird joints around the cloth body and the stitching around the neck really break the illusion for me-but I don’t think it bothers other collectors.
I only know about Life of Faith dolls because someone (I really don’t remember who now) did a video on AG “rip-offs”. Magic attic club I’ve seen pics floating around but didn’t know what they were (I googled them to see what you meant lol).
Kaya is beautiful but if you’ve resisted AG this long, don’t do it! 🤣
