- In this video I share how I prepare for community days as a tutor with Classical Conversations. I share my planning method, tutor board preparation process, tutor tips and lessons learned, my “go to” resources, and “best practices”.
I mention taking just what you need for the week, however, I do suggest using a carrier/bag for your board and even using a wagon for the days you have a “more than full” load.

You’re such a wonderful resource for us mamas and tutors! I LOVE that your first tip was to plan ahead the week before because that’s what I’ve done this year that has made it so much better in presenting the new grammar. I actually have my littles a week ahead so I’m teaching them during the week before as well which they love so they can feel more confident going into the new CC week with their friends.
I love the Nicole L. Science resource too, what a blessing to have that. I printed it out at the beginning of the year, made my own cover for it, and have it spiral bound. It’s been so helpful.
Aw thank you! 😀 so glad to hear you find some of it helpful. We are so blessed to be able to share and glean from each other here. And Yesss, planning ahead is a game changer. Even looking ahead into the upcoming quarter is helpful to be able to keep your feelers out for things/resources that may apply.
(I think the target dollar spot is * on to CC” 😉)
Thank you Krystle, for taking the time to do these videos! So helpful.
So glad to hear they’ve been helpful to you! 🙂
Just started as a tutor and Loove your videos! Thank you much!
That’s awesome! I hope you have a great time tutoring! So glad you’re here!❤️
Thank you so much,

Tutoring foundations for the first time this year and you were SOoo helpful!! Thank you for sharing this!!
Oh good 😀 I’m so glad it was helpful!
I’m brand new and I sure appreciate this video already.
I’ll check out the review games next :)
So glad to hear this Renee! Thank you for taking the time to let me know. I hope you have a great year!😃
Hi! I wondered if you are planning to make some cycle 2 weekly memory work videos? Your cycle 1 videos were so helpful to us! Thank you!
Hi Jane!😀Thank you for letting me know they were helpful! Yes, I’m planning on posting for cycle 2 soon. 😉
I'm having trouble finding the stick in the sand toolbox. Can you share it or link it? Thank you for all the tips!! It's my first year tutoring so I'm gathering all the tips.
Also, where did you get your board?
And, how do you stick your timeline cards on your board without compromising your cards?
Love your videos, they made my first year tutoring so much easier! Curious where you got your board?
I'm so glad to hear they were helpful! I actually made my board last year with supplies our director provided for the tutors. 3 whiteboard pieces with duct tape.
Cc connected is now free! Yay!!
So nice to have it all included!😊👍
Hi there! I’m about to start my first year tutoring and your video has been so helpful! I’m trying to find that document (Six week tutor plan) on CCC but can’t seem to find it anywhere. Do you still see it? Am I missing it?
Hello and welcome to tutor life😀 I hope you have great year! This was a document shared on the older version of CCC 😬 We are currently in the middle of moving and I’m not yet on the new CCC but I’ll check to see if it’s there when I’m able to and let you know!
Tutoring for the first time this coming year! where did you get your trifold whiteboard?
So exciting! My trifold was actually passed along to me when I stepped in to tutor mid-year so I’m not sure where it’s from but I’ve seen similar boards online at Office Depot and Walmart.😉
How do you get CC connected?

Hi there, I am a fifth year cc mom but first year tutor… The stick in the sand toolbox paperwork looks so amazingly helpful, but I cannot find it on the new cc connected site… And have been looking around on the Internet for it… Do you have any recommendations or idea where I could find that
Hi 😀 Welcome to tutor life! I’m not on the new CCC yet but will look as soon as I am and let you know!
