Thank you for this video. Could you list out some of the ideas for your action sticks? You mentioned, whisper, stand like a soldier, hold your nose... I was wondering what other ideas you had. Thanks!!
We play "Stinky Feet". I have a poster with a pair of feet drawn on it, which is covered with sticky notes. The non-visible side of the sticky notes have points written on them. I split the class into 2 teams (sitting in chairs in a row works best), and take turns trying to answer a review question. Then they get to pick a sticky note. The "Stinky Feet" part comes in if they draw a sticky note with negative points. For younger kids I modified it to only positive points, and the "Stinky Feet" were just worth 0 (zero) points. Team with the most points wins. If they get to rowdy or talk while the other team is taking a turn, or show bad sportsmanship I warn them ahead of time I can take away points.

Linz D that sounds like a really fun game! I'm going to have to try it! I printed the actions/voices off of Half A Hundred Acre Wood. www.halfahundredacrewood.com/2013/07/memory-work-review-games/. If you subscribe to her page you can download it for free :)

When the student pics the subject, do you just randomly select what week or do you review all the prior weeks for that one subject with that one student?

Have you ever heard of the review game “Fast Five”? I heard someone mention it on a video but wasn’t sure how it goes.

My brain may be broken at the moment but tell me how to number the sticks please. 4 sticks of each subject? and...

Each stick has 4 weeks listed on it- so you would have a stick for each subject that looked like this
      1,7, 13, 19
      2, 8, 14, 20
      3, 9, 15, 21
      4, 10, 16, 22
      5, 11, 17, 23
      6, 12, 18, 24
I like to write up on the board what weeks we’re reviewing. So we were week 9 this week which meant we were reviewing 3-8. So when your student draws a stick they review whatever number falls between those.
      Does that help?

@@lovemrsc84 If I understand correctly, does this mean that each subject would have 6 sticks each? And each of those sticks would have the numbers (weeks) you listed?
