your video was great help in understanding how to set up my ft450. You too started with ft450 then how come your wiring diagram showed two connectors instead of one? ft450 got only connector A.
Hey bud, great video. I’m looking to purchase a FT unit to run a K24 turbo setup in an MR2. Do you know if the 450 will have what it takes to get it to run or will I be short on inputs? Also I’m curious if VTEC should be eliminated entirely for a boost setup?
I got sidetracked with other projects and winter, but I finally got this case swapped midget running. A few more things to deal with and I’ll be ready for the road. Thanks for the help.
Will i still need an hondata ecu or ktuner ? Or will fuel-tech-run the whole engine alone? Plus abs etc been thinking about k swapping my r56 mini cooper
Hello good night just watch your video and I need some help I have a k24 engine with a 4 cylinder engine harness from fueltech my question where on my harness do I wire in my vss vtec vtc starter and alternator
Ok so: VSS will be one of the white wires if you go to the inputs you can choose an empty white wire and tell it to be the speed sensor. Vtec- requires a few things to have it work. So you will need one of the white wires to be intake cam position 1. Then using one of the blue wires set it to vts and wire it to one of the wires on the vtec solenoid(not polarity sensitive) then you will wire switched 12v to the other wire. Add a diode bridge between the wires the book explains it. VTC- so here you wire the #5 blue wire to one of the wires and switched 12v to the other(also not polarity sensitive) Starter- i will have to get back to you on that one i have to remember. ALT.- this one I will also have to get back to you on. Make sure you comment back so I can find it easier. Thanks guy!
So far we still working on getting the harness set up due to the holidays its been slow but finish the vtec vtc alternator Crank only thing am wondering do I need to wire in the intake cam also
@@duverejoseph5920 so the intake cam is what tells vtec what to do. You will need to use a white input wire and set it as intake cam position 1 that way the ecu knows when to activate.
Was up man, thanks for the great video. I follow yours instructions and I was able to get my car started using a ft550.
Hell yea guy! Glad I could help

We upgraded to the ft550
So a perfectly timed k24 motor would have 334 index?

It has what it takes but it takes some special wiring to get it done I recommend the 550. It cost more but you will be happier with it
A simple set up like for the 99-00 b16 em1 the ft450 will do you fine even if your running a turbo, cop, boost controller and bbg. No worries
Great video. I went though the file you sent. Thank you . It was pretty easy once I got started. You made it make a lot of sense
Awesome good deal hope it all works great and if you have any questions hit me.

Awesome bud! Appreciate the tutorial
muchas gracias amigo
no hay problema
I have the 550 with the 4 cylinder harness and only has for one cam sensor do I need both? And how ?
Nah just the one is needed. You will tie into the exhaust cam sensor. Its the middle wire you want to tie into(cant remember the color)

The whole engine, its designed to replace the factory ecu. Sorry it took so long to get back
great info..im working on my car at the moment and its not starting. can i have a basemap for stock k24
Yea shoot me an email I can send it over after work
I forgot about you but I will do it today for sure sorry

@@southerngearz OK thanks because am trying to finish my ft450 k24 swap
@@southerngearz would love the answer to these same questions. If you can update when possible would be greatly appreciated.
