    I end up rewatching this guide every time I have to cast off my loom. It works absolutely fantastic for arm warmers. The stretch is GREAT and the look is so clean. Thank you so much for making this comprehensive tutorial that even a total beginner like me can follow along!!

    I'm fairly new to loom knitting and have been struggling with finding the best stretchy BO, especially for socks. This is, by far, the one that works the best for such projects. I truly appreciate your willingness to share this technique.

    Denise! You are a God-send. I struggled with my boot cuffs being stretchy! Thank You so much for this video. I didn't even know there was a super stretchy bind off for the loom. Learning something new every day! Thank You ever so much! lol.

    Hi Denise. I have issues with my bind off being too tight, sometimes too loose. I kept the tension normal on this and it turned out just right. This is my go to bind off. Thank you for all you do. 🤗😼🥰

    A million thanks. I couldn’t find another stretchy cast off video, yours is great and I need it for a scarf end. The previous scarf I made was ruined by the tight cast off. You’re a life saver.

    You know...i just tried this and I believe it's my favorite bind off that I've found. All the others I've tried end up too loose/stretchy and wanna roll, or they're too stiff, or they're somehow both loose and stiff. But this one lays so pretty and is just right and I love it!

    Perfect just what I have been searching for and you explained it so well. I was binding off a large yellow loom which required 3 wraps at the end and it came out just right that is after taking it apart after having tried other bind offsl.

    I'm commenting here mostly so I'll remember this myself: Use more than 1.5x around the hat!!!!! I keep ending up short and having to tighten up my stitches when I get to the end. Go 2x around the hat before cutting your yarn....it's easy enough to trim later if it's too long!

    How do you use this technique for a brimless hat? I understand how to use it for a bind off, but since you work from the brim up on a hat how would you get the same stretchy effect? Thank you!!!

  • @joanihburg4572
    @joanihburg4572 5 років тому

    Would you use this method when you are going to pull the working yarn to tighten, as in the bottom of a sock or use it at the top of the sock??

  • @Deliamc
    @Deliamc 6 років тому

    Thanks for video help Denise! I'm new to loom knitting and just completing my first project. Can you tell me after I take all the loops off using this method how do I then "close" the working yarn? Do I tie it or knot it or what? Thanks for your help :)

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  6 років тому

      Hi Delia - hard for me to answer because how you "close" depends on the design of your project. But if you mean how to make the working yarn disappear - you would need to weave it into the fabric - you can do this with a crochet hook - just to a UA-cam search for "weaving in the ends" - I hope that helps some. Sorry if I misunderstood the question.

    would this method help for socks? i use sock yarn, tried every stitch, but still struggle with socks that fall down.

  • @shellroth
    @shellroth 5 років тому

    Does it matter what kind of stitches you have for the last row before the bind off? For example, the hat I’m making has a combination of purls and ewraps. Would it be better to do a whole row of ewrap or uwrap or purls before doing the bind off? This is a brimless hat worked from the top, so the bind off edge is the brim.

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  5 років тому

      Hi Shelley- I would not do an additional row only becus it will “ show up “. I’ve done it in the past and didn’t like it. You’ll have a cleaner transition if you just go directly from the last row to the bind-off.
