Great comparison! The hard clanking with the OP buds pro with ANC on was a bit too loud compared to the Apple Airpods Pro. The OP Buds did great against other headphones in the Android market, but I'm a bit shocked at how much better the Airpods Pro performed. Thanks!
The way you used the ted was brilliant. During Airpods ANC, i thought my volume got decreased but second later realized. I think you should fine tune this method by exact fit of buds in the ted's ears. And while creating artificial background noise, make sure it is being played at center right behind the subject so that the earbuds could pick the sound and distribute it evenly which was missing during OnePlus buds pro test. Hope you get my point.

For the noise cancellation on the one plus pro, you have to have then on your ear a certain way or else it won't work as good, but once you get it right it's truly magic

I feel the seal of oneplus buds pro around the binaural microphone ear canal wasn't right, which would have caused the poor ANC performance. Thus was apparent when the background noise intensity was different to start with when none of the ANC functions were turned on. Pls check.
The results are very similar in both videos I produced. Although "Ted" isn't the perfect scientific instrument it does give a good idea of what the end result will be.
that's a good question; umm i'll go with beats if you want that extra But I like the overall sound signature and everything on Oneplus so I'll suggest OnePlus

I have the older oneplus earphones, one feature i really like that it has is able to long press a button, and able to jump bluetooth connection between my phone and laptop. It is really useful for working from home, between listenin to music on the phone, and taking a zoom call on the laptop. Does the oneplus earbuds pro have this feature? Thank you

I am so confused between OnePlus Buds pro and the Sony wf Xm3s. Not much of price difference here in the market. But I have heard the xm3s are a state of the art when it comes to sound quality but the voice over calls is very bad.

I'm sorry, may be it's just me.. but the background noise track used for apple airpods sounded much lower than the track used for oneplus (I mean without the noise cancellation modes turned on)

Really thorough job, both kind of suck or need lots of work in noise control, funny how Apple penalizes you on Android, OnePlus seems to be an open standard. Are both the same price? OnePlus are $119 this month. Do the apples charges fast as oneplus. I.e. 10hrs of play w 10min charge. Or 36hrs w full charge

I just got mine, using it for first time. In reality OP noise cancellation sounds like Airpod's noise cancellation test with ambient noise on. Which means its pretty satisfactory. I tested ANC while on call while my maid was washing dishes behind the open window. Steel utensils. While I could hear little bit of banging it wasn't as disturbing without ANC. Without earphones on its so loud it actually hurts.

i saw another reviewer from China which did a similar ANC test in actual locations with a lot of sound like subway stations and the OnePlus buds pro did as good if not better than the airpods pro

This was great. I feel like the important tests (to me) had a clear winner: the ANC was dominated by the Airpods, but the microphone noise suppression was dominated by the OnePlus (the mic quality while driving was phenomenal).

I'll think about it as my OP 8 Pro doesn't support the LHDC, for me Enco X didn't sound that great.. But I've just got my Pixel 5A let's see if it supports and Enco X sounds great with it ~
Did you make sure oneplus buds are inserted properly into Ted's ears. It's because anc on oneplus buds feels to me worse than oppo enco w51. If possible can you compare those two for anc. As oppo costs half of OnePlus it would be good comparison to see anc performance with price.

I have watched A LOT of TWC review videos. Hands down, this is THE BEST review I have ever watched. No one gave the experience of the noice cancellation comparision like in this video.
Was so close to buy the Buds pro, but with this bad ANC its not worth it. I hope they bring an update that's embarrassing for OP they were better once...

No clue why the ANC on Oneplus sounds so horrible in this review. ANC in my air buds has been much better than what it shows in this video. I also tried my brothers AirPods and yeah the ANC in those is slightly better.

joonas is somewaht right, And Yes they have improved the ANC with the Updates lately, check my other video where I compared it with Samsung Buds Pro and The Huawei Freebuds Pro..they did somewhat well in that one.. (That was after update btw)

I would never go for a audio device with COMPLETE ANC. You must always be able to hear some background noise to know what's going on in the world. Stop looking for perfection and go with what's right !
I've seen a lot of people across multiple videos bashing them for not being as good as the airpods pro but forgetting they're significantly cheaper. The previous 2 iterations I feel are fantastic for the price and I'm hoping these are even better and worth the money

I recently bought air pods pro, after owning the oneplus buds pro for 4 months, I honestly feel like I wasted my money smh , tbh I’m still picking up my oneplus buds pro even though I’m using an iPhone 12pro max, I feel oneplus performs better than the AirPods, the oneplus will hit me with all the sound that I need to hear and performs impressive on all genres , AirPods Pro is for good hands free experience but when it comes to music, I’m never satisfied

In a comparison test, surely the MSRP should be mentioned? It's a key factor in deciding if the additional cost is worth it to the consumer.

No Apple Doesn't charge as fast but holds up the charge really well;
talking about the price here in the US the Op is at 150 and Apple at 190 bucks

At the end of the day in Real Life use the OnePlus Buds do an ok job at ANC but nowhere near as good as the Apple's.

i saw another reviewer from China which did a similar ANC test in actual locations with a lot of sound like subway stations and the OnePlus buds pro did as good if not better than the airpods pro
Same here I saw that same Chinese video and the anc was almost same on oneplus buds pro and airpods pro
@@arsalz1 it might just be a case of the Chinese version having a better firmware as it has fully released there
Although "Ted" isn't the perfect scientific instrument it does give a good idea of what the end result will be. FYI, mine are also the Chinese version.

This was great. I feel like the important tests (to me) had a clear winner: the ANC was dominated by the Airpods, but the microphone noise suppression was dominated by the OnePlus (the mic quality while driving was phenomenal).

I'll think about it as my OP 8 Pro doesn't support the LHDC, for me Enco X didn't sound that great.. But I've just got my Pixel 5A let's see if it supports and Enco X sounds great with it ~

Wow ! The ANC of Airpods Pro if what is shown in this Video when put in the Ears of TED is believed to be what it is, is Outstanding !!
Did you make sure oneplus buds are inserted properly into Ted's ears. It's because anc on oneplus buds feels to me worse than oppo enco w51. If possible can you compare those two for anc. As oppo costs half of OnePlus it would be good comparison to see anc performance with price.

LHDC/LDAC is haven't yet supported :(

No clue why the ANC on Oneplus sounds so horrible in this review. ANC in my air buds has been much better than what it shows in this video. I also tried my brothers AirPods and yeah the ANC in those is slightly better.

joonas is somewaht right, And Yes they have improved the ANC with the Updates lately, check my other video where I compared it with Samsung Buds Pro and The Huawei Freebuds Pro..they did somewhat well in that one.. (That was after update btw)

I would never go for a audio device with COMPLETE ANC. You must always be able to hear some background noise to know what's going on in the world.
Stop looking for perfection and go with what's right !

I've seen a lot of people across multiple videos bashing them for not being as good as the airpods pro but forgetting they're significantly cheaper. The previous 2 iterations I feel are fantastic for the price and I'm hoping these are even better and worth the money

I recently bought air pods pro, after owning the oneplus buds pro for 4 months, I honestly feel like I wasted my money smh , tbh I’m still picking up my oneplus buds pro even though I’m using an iPhone 12pro max, I feel oneplus performs better than the AirPods, the oneplus will hit me with all the sound that I need to hear and performs impressive on all genres , AirPods Pro is for good hands free experience but when it comes to music, I’m never satisfied
