  • I decided to make a home made incubator out of a old mini fridge that I had sitting min my garage that didn't work. The links below is everything that you will need to make one your self. Any question leave it in the description.

And I did add a fan to help circulate the air in the incubator.

Hi, awesome video! if you place the probe on the eggs, you'll prevent a call for heat when the door opens, this prevents a heat spike. you'll find that you'll have a better hatch rate and can hatch out harder to hatch species. hopes this helps you produce more awesome critters. (and yes, i know this because im very old, lol)

Just found this video last week. My son and I are working on building an incubator for his Leopard Geckos with a mini fridge based on your design. Thanks for posting!

now that it has been in use for a little while, is everything still good with your set up? Meaning How has the heat tape on the plastic been? Has there been any dicoloration or warping of the fridge plastic? I am going to do the same and was thinking of adding a sheet of metal to preven any melting or fire hazard.
Also, have you needed to ventilate at all?

Do you recommend that type of heat mat for chicken eggs? Anyone here with experience in homebuilt chicken egg bators?

Everything she does here you can do for chicken eggs. Chickens are simple to hatch out.

do you not need ventilation holes?

No but in this type of setup you'll need to hand turn your eggs daily. That will allow for fresh air twice a day.

LMAO 😂😂😂😂 first off that big roll that looks like duct tape is not heat tape. It foil tape that roll with stripes that you call a Heat Mat is the Heat Tape. Lmao. Are you sure you know what you are doing.?? Cuz your calling HVAC TAPE heat tape and it’s not it will not produce heat. It’s literally aluminum foil tape.

Before you critique someone, make sure your grammar/punctuation is correct. Also, she had the right materials, just called them by the wrong name. She implemented them correctly, so yes, I would say she knows what she is doing.
