I was fascinated by Jim (*). Excellent repair. A sincere congratulations. Thanks for sharing. All the best. (*): My doctor recommended that I completely eliminate "apples" from my diet (iPhones). PS: (10:45) I'm not going to expand here on the "nice words" I mentioned, in a low voice, in my native language, when seeing that greenish/yellowish chemical substance attached to and surrounding the electrolytic capacitor.
Great hobby, but have you ever thought about repair vs. effort? There is absolutely no relation between the two. New powerbank about 20USD vs min 3 hours working time plus new IC and the equipment to repair it. Better to spend the time with friends or something else. I also repair electronics, but only if the benefit is right, i.e. max. 15 min. to find the fault and estimate the necessary repair effort. If this is too high, garbage! I wish you a healthy, long and happy life.
Hi you are right, but this is my hobby and not my day job, purpose of this channel is to learn that is why i invest more time in investigating. You are right devices that can't be fixed in less then 30 minutes is not worth it. These company's like to make devices unfixable by not providing schematics. Thank you for your feedback. Gr. Jim
Hi, you can use a intelligent charger discharger to measure the time and current from empty to full or a electronic load to discharge the powerbank. Gr. Jim

In Africa these power banks costs more and if you are able to repair them ...trust me you will make even more
Okay, so should I buy a thermal camera for my phone for about 2000 $ to check whether my 50 $ battery pack charging or not?
Just buy a new power bank, thermal camera is a tool for fixing more devices instead of just one. :)
