The last Sam that arrived/the one you're talking about is actually the initial design of Firefly's Sam
But they changed it to the current one
Actually the original design for Firefly/SAM armor was the last one the "cooler one" but they change it.
Not exactly. From what I've seen, that image of the "original design" is just current SAM but the Blue parts are Red and they have the 2 Strips of Red cloth
It has a lot more differences Head to Toe than that original image now

Hoyo actually likes Neon Genesis Evangelion many references from it are in genshin and maybe in hi3
They did do a colab with Evangelion at one point with HI3rd with Asuka being a playable character in HI so that’s neat

Why couldn’t we get the one in red as a playable character.
The girl with glasses reminds me a bit of the one from that anime that could make weapons out of her blood (can't remember the name) or a bit too of Yui from K-On! Agreed not sure if the third one is a guy, if it is then he's a bishounen if it's a girl then it's fine if it's a tomboy but I would have preferred a tomboy with breasts if it's a girl. I actually like the mech of the third one, though Firefly's isn't bad, just could have a better head...as for people inside, I like Firefly or the one inside the last mech more, then the glasses girl, ironic since I do like girls with glasses a lot but the others just look better...and last the third character...

I hate that NpC designs look better than the playable ones we get. I hope the leader survives at the very least so we get a different play style in the future.
To be completely honest i don't get why they had to come up with an idea of mech suits to look and sound like brutal men but have mostly women inside? Like... why. This isn't a cool turn, this just fools you. Why not just give them cool mechanic female voices instead?
I was really waiting for Sam, since first pictures, initial pictures had such a cool concept, but instead we get "uwu owo 🥺 let's go on a date" and naked flashes in battle even though she actually isn't, and a bunch of implications that she's physically weak and gentle for simps.
