Big Man City fan as I grew up during the boom of Premier League and European Football in India. But inspired by "Support your local club" I have recently started going to a lot of football here locally. Just found out my granddad was a huge Mohammaden SC support and that's who I rep now.
Amazing video btw Jay 🤍
Love it mate! 💙
I love meeting people who only supports their hometown team or the team that represents their neighborhood. Especially the ones that are far less successful.
--> Looked like a lovely time. Didn't turn out the way you wanted, but there was a bit of drama.
--> Louisiana's not a hotbed for soccer, but back in the late 90s, we had an indoor team near where I live, the Lafayette Swampcats, for a couple of seasons. I was a regular. In fact, my crew was the official-unofficial cheer squad. I even had an opposing coach buy me a beer because of my banter. The Swampcats won the league both years and led the league in attendance. Fun times.
--> In 2025, New Orleans is getting a USL club. Supposedly, soccer was introduced to the States through New Orleans. (Not sure about that, but that's what the new club is claiming.) I can't wait to support it.
--> And, as for being a Chelsea fan even though you're from Birmingham: No problems, mate. I'm a Celtic fan, but I've never stepped foot in Scotland. 'Mon the Hoops.
the Lafayette Swampcats is an incredible name for a football club 😅
It's great how much football is coming to America, you guys just need to allow promotion and relegation!
Then a cool team from USL can make it to the MLS
@@jaytomlinsfc It'll never happen. The money that investors have put into MLS clubs to join the league ..... there's no way the owners will consider dropping down to a lower league.
My local is Newport, but I've supported Swansea for the last few years (I'm 17) well before I was even into football, I'll always support Swansea no matter what but Newport will always be a soft spot for me
Some clubs do just have soft spots
For me Birmingham City have a soft spot in my heart
Just discovered your content! Expecting big things from you mate! Lets go!!
Thanks man 🔥
Great vid
💙💙
Great video! Ya need to take a trip over to the west of Ireland to see Galway United!
Oooo I'd love to mate!
I would absolutely love to support a local club but we don’t got any here in the US😅
That's a shame mate!

Nothing wrong with Chelsea being your team (why is that?)
As they play in Fulham.😅
Have you been Cadbury athletic fc in Birmingham? This is a nice ground from what i seen.😮
You can go watch lower league teams yes and see what live football is like.
What are your thoughts on Bayer winning Bundesliga?
A few people commented on your previous channel retro football kits on your this season Bundesliga season shirts.
Are you happy to see a new Bundesliga winner? No more Bayern Munich League BayernLiga jay..
Harry Kane has to wait for a trophy or two in Germany.
This summer i will buy a Clapton Community Football Club membership and be their member which is only £5
Support a non League team and be a football club owner as they say.
Not certain where or who your nearest fan owned team would be.
Interesting yes you currently live in Manchester City area being from Birmingham area :)
Omg, I'd never heard of Cadbury Athletic but they might be my new favourite club, DEFO going to a game next season 😅
I'm well happy for Bayer winning the Bundesliga! Although I actually wish Kane would win something, it's good to see a club other than Bayern winning the league.
And for me the closest fan owned club is FC United of Manchester, I actually made a documentary about them whilst at Uni, you can find it on the 'The Back Post' Channel! :)
I'm a brummie living in Dublin from both Irish and brummie back grounds and I would rather see you being a villa. fan than a Chelsea fan and I'm a bluenose. In Ireland everyone supports Liverpool man utd Leeds (because of the 70s) arsenal and celtic. They try and give me shit and all I say support you local teams you glory hunting feckers. I go to a couple of irish league matches a season down at Shamrock Rovers as its the local club to where I live and they got over 10,000 vs local rivals Bohs 2 weeks ago.
Been a Chelsea fan all my life mate, can change it now... Even if I wanted to 😅
But I do have a soft spot for blues just because my grandad supported them!
