- Southland Mall is facing an uncertain future as the mall's owners missed a payment, meaning it's now up for sale. The development has people in the area asking what's next as the malls continue to struggle.
Time will tell?? Time has been telling you for close to 2 decades now. Malls, especially the ones where you have to park far away from the business and walk past 50 stores to get to where you want - are done. I think there's still some hope for open malls like Twelve Oaks or Birch Run (particularly because of the outlet stores) will hold out a little longer. I stopped at Birch Run on the way back from Northern MI few weeks ago (early July), and was surprised how busy it was,
The obese don’t like walking. Personally I like browsing around. Sadly people are too fat to walk
Grew up with that mall worked in Olga’s kitchen. when it first opened up I was 16 years old! 💔🇺🇸
I remember that location, it was right in an open in of the mall in entrance near the theater, before the days off "food courts". We probably dated at one point 🤣🤣
I too grew up with that mall! I worked at Sanders & United Shirt! Loved hanging with friends there!
How in the world is Fairlane mall still open.

Music venue, theater, gaming hub think of who a mall markets too now aday. No wonder there failing.
@@WookofWallstreetpff that’s a stupid idea. There is no way air soft and bmx would generate enough money. There is a very small demographic of people who do those things.
