Oh my dear Lady, welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole! These guys are so talented, genuine, funny and endearing. They are the first all accapella country vocal group around that can cover all genres. The bass is Tim Foust basso profundo that has a 5 octave range, also known as the killer of sound systems. Love your reactions!

Tim Foust the bass singer has 7 full octaves. He can lead sing in a higher range. Listen to Home Free's version of "Oh Holy Night" Tim's baritone voice starts out this magnificent version of the timeless classic holiday tune. Every instrument you hear is created by their mouths. That includes, the Jew's harp, (the boing, boing, boing sound) harmonica, and drum set.

You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.

  • @sueby1962

Great reaction! I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas! They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Robb Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!

This is just Tim Foust, the bass, going light. This song doesn't even begin to show his full talents and incredible 5 octave range. Pretty much, he is just fulfilling a basic role on this song... other songs, where he is front-and-center and singing in the low part of his register (he didn't even go anywhere near as low as he can on this song), it's jaw dropping.

Awesome! "Holy mother of bass!" is right. LOL! Home Free is good about sharing the lead vocals. If you want to hear more of bass Tim Foust on lead, check out his original composition, Champagne Taste (On a Beer Budget) and its follow up, Full of Cheer. This one is from a few years ago. If you want to see what they're like now, try What's Left of My Heart, also written by Tim. If you ever get the chance, see Home Free live. They're touring again and awesome in person.
If a cappella was school, Pentatonix is the student council, Home Free is out in the parking lot hosting a tailgate party, and VoicePlay are the theater geeks. Usually an all-male quintet, they lost one member to the Navy so they've been having a series of featured singers join them, including Omar Cardona who is competing on The Voice this season. VoicePlay's bass, Geoff Castellucci, has a range comparable to Tim and can also rattle your chakras. They're from Orlando and have all worked at various theme parks over the years so they do a lot of Disney covers, but do all genres. I Can't Make You Love Me might make you cry; We Don't Talk About Bruno will make you laugh. So far they've done four songs from Nightmare Before Christmas. My favorite is Oogie Boogie's Song. Geoff also has a solo channel -- his latest is Ghost Riders in the Sky and it's awesome.
Tim also has a solo channel, as does Austin Brown (the high tenor). They've also done several duets, with instruments. Which is a long way of saying ... there's a lot of material down this rabbit hole for reactions.

  • @belinda9696

Oh girl, you have just tapped into the very best vocal band there is. These guys can do anything...every cover they do is an upgrade and their originals are awesome. Many people may think there is a lot of added parts in a studio video; however, they sound every bit as good as their concerts... they've done this piece in concert and it's awesome. They are so versatile...you must check out their cover of Boyz2Men End of the Road or Percy Sledge's When a Man Loves a Woman. Adam Rupp is the vocal percussionist extraordinaire and has several videos of his drum solos. Tim Faust is the bass singer and you will love his duet with Peter Hollens on Misty Mountain. Their harmonies are perfection in Helplessly Hoping or Brothers in Arms (which also features the group's two bass singers). Adam Chance is the baritone who joined the group in 2016 and he sings bass also, which frees Tim to take more leads rather than always the bass lines. You're going to really enjoy this journey and you're pretty much guaranteed an entire fan base that will be with you all the way. It tickles in all the right places. That bass guy is Avi from Pentatonix.

Thank you for playing that I love that song. These artists are wonderful. If you get a chance maybe you could play Foreigner I Want to Know What Love Is. I think that's really wonderful love song.

Not sure if anyone has said this but hold off on Mayday till you know what everyone sings and their names! I know that sounds weird but you will seriously appreciate waiting! Keep the HF videos coming and us Home Fries will descend in mass in a good way! Love your reactions to Home Free! 😊

I've seen them twice this year (discovered them late last year) and I'm planning on #3 for my 65th birthday celebration next summer. Well, unless they come out my way earlier than that or course. A girl can hope.

@@DianaJG8 If they're close enough for a cheaper ride there and back maybe their will be a Winter Solstice #4. A girl can hope. (I hope I got my they're/there/theirs right. It can be so confusing.)

@@nightthornkvala94132 - Aww, you're precious! You got the first "there" correct. The second should have been the same as the first. The one you used is to show possession, as in "it's their's". The "they're" is merely a contraction of the two words: they are. Look at me acting "so smart" when I took 4 years of Spanish in school and still can't speak it! LOL I greatly admire your ability to speak a second language! Heck, at 66, I'm losing English, too! LOL.
I certainly hope you get many more opportunities to see Home Free such that the guys come to recognize YOU! ❤️
