  • Kayak Camping! River King Brian and I accept an invite to join the Wondering Monkey crew on a quick overnighter on the mighty, muddy Yadkin River. Shane tries out his new Wilderness Systems tsunami 145. Fun is had by all as a bet is quickly won, finding camp offers a surprise. We show off our hammock gear quilts. It is always nice to see new ways on how to kayak camp. I make the white slaw faux pas at the BBQ Center. It was a relaxing kayaking adventure. It is always nice to get outdoors with friends. Come join us as we paddle the Yadkin River

    Sorry for y'alls loss. I lost my own Mom 20 years ago last month. She was the one who taught me to be adventurous And live life not let life live me. That it is your heart, not your age, that should tell you the paths to pick. That it is ok to be a grandmother and still be a river rat, crazy kayaker. And I was blessed with a BFF for more an 45 years to join me in my adventures, and sometimes even cause them. We can knit and crochet when we get old, but we aren't there yet. I saw a post on FB that read "if you haven't grown up by the time you are 60.... You don't have to!" Well, we don't have to cause we didn't, and now we won't!

      @@RiverKingsKayak Thanks for the reply guys, but seriously i watch a few adventure channels, sailing mostly and can't understand why cover with music ? I didn't see any radio at your campsite and am sure you never thought of mounting one on your kayak. Give your viewers the full experience !

    "Totes uncool"...my new line. Shame the MRE failed...maybe next time. Everyone was looking good in the boats, but man was that river muddy looking. Honestly though, the camping spot looked pretty good and open with lots of options for trees, and didn't look like a lot of poison ivy. Oh, and the Sailing worked out this time! Someone had something against your white cole slaw?!? How Racist!!! :)

    • @MonkeyNAround
      @MonkeyNAround 6 років тому

      Come to NC and see we don't eat Cole Slaw in the BBQ town. It's BBQ slaw or Red Slaw depending on how you refer to it. The river itself has been nicknamed THE MUDDY YADKIN on these parts here. It isn't until you move further north on the river that it starts to clear up.

    • @yakkelberry214
      @yakkelberry214 6 років тому +1

      Ah man I gotta pass on the slaw no matter what it is called, I aint liking cabbage much! But I will come to NC! Right about now man, I would run any river I'm jonesing so badly
