G'day Ian just had to say thanks for not only your channel and what you're doing regarding resurrecting weird tales as a genre, but more importantly YOUR OWN written works these are phenomenal pieces of art and have since inspired and awoken my own dreams from their deep slumber and given me the courage I had always required in overcoming self-doubt and picking up the pen and writing again, so thank you mate. Thank you. 🕯📜🕯
Dang Ian, this is a godsend. Just started homeschooling my little niece and I think I’m doing a good job but, I’ve been super stressed about potentially letting her (not to mention my sister and the rest of our family) down. An adventure with Van Melson is exactly what I needed to relax a bit!
Splendid ! Coffee and smokes ready ! Oh, and by the way... I didn't know Almond Croissants were a thing till I listened to The Wolves Of Wombleton. I am now semi-addicted to the things. 🤣
Sounds great! Over here in the beautiful golden early evening, I'm pulling weeds in the front of my house. They have been very rude and grown over the curb. Phone tucked in pocket, earbuds neatly placed. Take it away, Ian.....!
Vaan Melsen stories are something I ALWAYS look forward to! And now I'm wondering where their journey will next take these three. I think the three of them make a great team!
Great to see Jason and Ellen making acquaintance at last! Also, the Carnacki cameo was masterfully-done. The plot is properly thickening now. Always looking forward to more Van Melsen and his sidekicks.

I'm thrilled to have a new member of Team Van Melsen. The chemistry is so natural between Jason and Ellen, two people who have delved too deep for their own good.
Brilliant story, and wonderfully read. Of all of the HorrorBabble content, I just love your Van Mensel stories. Many thanks. Now I need to be patient, until your next one 🤗🤗

Nothing better than a van melsen story, a pack of cigarettes, and my favorite tea! So excited for the next installment of my favorite paranormal investigator!
As I knew it would be, this was excellent. Well done ! I thoroughly enjoyed this story ! Van Melsen Is definitely a worthy successor to Mr Carnaki. And I believe Mr Hope Hodgson would have loved these stories ! And I think ( though I'm probably wrong ) that I can guess who the others are. Or at least, some of them lol.
Wow! What a treat! Fantastic story and narration! If you do not know who the "old friend" is, you do when you hear, "Out you go!" Your voice for the Emissary sounded like an English version of your Doctor Satan voices. The way you do your voices is wonderful and amazing. Great job, Ian!
@HorrorBabble no problem. Anytime! I like how you link your stories together and love it when the details and connections pop out. Pete is such a great character!
Maaan i enjoyed that, love that Carnaki made an appearance.. awesome to hear such a great way of entwining the two greats 😁 amazing work Ian, cant wait for the next installment 🙂
Great day when Van Melsen and Ellen are together again exploring the 'wonderfully weird'. Also adding more context to Van Melsen and his life, which in itself is fertile ground for more adventures. Love hearing Jennifer along for the adventure with you Ian. Ian you are masterfully weaving the Van Melsen universe into a cohesive narrative that draws on many stories and aspects of all the tales of Van Melsen. Isaac Asimov did this for his Robot, Galectic Empire and Fountaion novels making a continuos line and giving us an amazing universe. Ian you are our modern day Asimovian story weaver. Hope that comparison is taken as a compliment. Bravo!!! ...to you and all at Horrorbabble. 💀
I’ve at last come to terms with Mr Warrens death. My friend Herbert West heard this sad news and has sent a telegram that he intends to visit as soon as possible.
