I always wanted to fly but never thought it was possible until I started watching all these aviation UA-cam channels. FWIW, I just passed my PPL checkride yesterday (9/5/20).
Bahamas series was my favorite watching. It's always nice to see what you enjoy on the ground when you get to your destination.. Kevin reply's to most of my comments. Jamie is awesome! I always invite them to come out to Napa, KAPC, CA! Thanks Bryan and Kevin! This video would have been better if Jamie were there!
It’s shameful if folks say anything negative. You’ve got a wonderful family and I enjoy the videos. Thanks for sharing your adventures. I am stalled in my training, but the videos you all make keep me positive that I will get back in the left seat when it’s the right time. Some day, I hope to be a 310 pilot myself. Stay safe!!
I have enjoyed several 310 Pilot video segments... Wondered what they did for a living and now I know... A great way to de-stress after what I know has to be a stressful daytime profession... Safe flying and fair winds!!!
I love that, Kevin is a class act and his videos are great. I also loved the fact he mentioned Ky Dam airport, that is in my neck of the woods. Good job Bryan as always with his infinite wisdom and sense of humor. Great combination!
Great interview!! Just did my solo a month ago or maybe longer!! Damn! Then these stupid california fires started so been working non stop!! Cant wait to get back in the air!! Great Vid!!!
About Kevin discussing a New England trip and the TV show “Wings”, it was set in Nantucket and based on Cape Air that regionally flies C402. A friend of mine also a retired BOS controller was friends with many of their pilots. When he retired he was given a section of the fuselage of the actual aircraft shown on the program signed by many of the pilots.
The airport I worked at during college (early 80's) had an old rotating beacon salvaged from the old airway beacon system. One of the instructors there was known to "ride the beacon" occasionally.
Great Job Bryan and Kevin. Bryan, I couldn't help but notice your Purse or "Murse" as some like to call them, sitting there beside you. Just wonder what a man about town such as yourself carries in that thing. Do you like over the shoulder or just carrying it in your hand? Kevin was totally cool. Of course what would you expect from a cool ATC guy? All kidding aside, both of you provide hours of enjoyment with your videos interspersed with seconds of terror. Keep up the good work guys. P.S. I hope Christy didn't catch you using her video equipment.
Two of the best, along with Dan and Christy, of course. Thanks for this great series from Kansas, Dan. I've learned a lot about some of my favorite You Tubers... and Bryan. :)
Just saw this video, just subscribed, enjoyed this interview a lot as I am subscribed to Kevin and Jaime on their 310 Pilot channel. Been watching their videos for some time now. I am not a pilot, but many moons ago back in my Michigan State Univ days one of my room mates was an instructor, went up many times with him.
That was Epic.. Made my Friday (Start to Labor Day holidays 2020) -- Bryan you need to command of the chair again ! Dan and Christy thanks for giving him 15 minutes of Fame !
If you're ever in MA, Kevin, and can get that 310 into 8B5, hit me up - that's right down the road from me. On second thought, I don't want you to ruin your suspension, and, no fuel ... and it's private ... so maybe scratch that one ... it's rough, I hear! Jaime would be bored to tears here, though - not a thing to do ... aside from hunting, fishing, shooting, drag racing, etc .. 😂 We're nothing like the rest of MA (which I say is a good thing). We don't travel east of Worcester - things get too weird out that way. LOL! 3B0 would be easier on your landing gear, and I hear there's a great burger joint there. And they have fuel - added bonus. 😁 Great interview, Bryan! 👍🍻
@@TakingOff Christy and Dan, you should come too! Bryan can pretend he is a suitcase and thus stowed in the luggage compartment, so 2 more spots left. Hope Kevin is okay I'm already filling up his aircraft ;-)
Did you know that UA-cam has cut off all notification emails that you send?? I wonder if they are also Stopping your Comment Returns when you send them. Love your Videos and hope to catch more, just have to search for the new ones.
I've been following Kevin & Jaimie on Kevin's 310 Pilot channel I think from close to day 1 and love them both as great people and enjoy viewing the aspect of GA I never followed through on when I was younger and took lessons. Bryan you did a fantastic job and I've enjoyed following your videos as well as those of Dan & Christy's on Taking Off also. Kevin when you do your West Coast swing I hope you will consider continuing North from the Redwood forests to see Mt. St. Helen's then fly east up the Columbia River gorge. I got to fly some lessons out of the Troutdale Oregon airport as I live in that area and the gorge and St. Helens, Mt. Adam's, Mt. Baker and Mt. Hood are all Beautiful as is flying over central Oregon. Best of luck to all of you!
@@Parr4theCourse Congratulations!!! That's really cool! I'm 63 now, but was recently diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer, I think getting my pilots license once I come out the other side of this medical mess will be a great goal to keep myself looking forward to and to be positive about so I'm going to make that my goal, if medically allowed anyway. I'm really glad to hear you followed through and got your ppl Parr 4 the Course! I took lessons in my 20s but let life and finances get in the way. I was more afraid of the radio communications than anything else though and now after watching so many videos on UA-cam it seems much less intimidating.
Don C Sorry to hear about the cancer, lifting you up for healing and obtaining that goal to get your PPL, hopefully that will be the motivation to keep pushing forward, keep us posted !!!!
Bryan, if you and Jamie come to Nantucket we’ll buy you lunch at Crosswinds, the restaurant at the airport. My wife and I have a place up there. I sat at Crosswinds the other night, outside on the ramp in the fog, eating a burger, listening to approach on LiveATC while watching a parade of planes try to make it in. Conditions were 200’ and (barely) 1/2. Would love to show you around. PM me if interested.
Yep Janis has no desire to get her PPL either, but we get a LOT of comments that she should . . . I ECHO that as well "Bahamas or Bust" series for us will be hard to top!
I see two schools of GA, those that just want to get the PPL, and those who get their PPL for business. I have a friend who is in a tech business and he just got his GA, twin engine, Instrument so he can move around the country on business and pleasure..
Anyone else notice Kevin kinda looks like a white Kanye at the right angle? Love watching all these guys, glad to see all the collab work that you're doing lately. Puts all my favorites in one place!
We gotta fly there... My nephew and I were getting our PPL’s at the same time and he lived in Bentonville , so that’s where he went for his soft field landings!
There are NO notifications of upcoming videos being sent and comment replies by you or Dan or anyone from your channel are Not being posted but rather sent directly to our emails.
Christy and Dan M. Why would UA-cam do such a dumb thing to cut off communications between the Poster and their followers?? They benefit from all this and I am sure that the people posting are NOT pleased with losing subscribers due to "NO Exchange of info or comment"
Matt and u...formation flight? R u kidding? Seen it go bad so many times, and to risk life with litte benifit??? I got some ocean front property in Arizona if u guys r interested
Great interview Bryan. I really enjoy Kevin, Jamie and family. 310 Pilot is a great channel. Beautiful 310 also with the new paint. Thanks.

310pilot is pulling your leg Bryan! He is 310 Pilot because that is how many tries it took to get his PPL.
Would love to see Kevin and the coolest 310 on this side of the pond and Jamie!!!!

Awesome!
I think this is the first time I've ever seen Kevin without sunglasses. lol
Love this video with the random questions. I'd love to sit in an audience of the 310 Pilot show. Start a show Kevin & Jaime.
I enjoy both of your channels. Didn't know his wife was a controller no wonder she is so good on radio 😳. Awesome
Good morning guys! Late start here in Arizona! Great seeing you!

what videos have Jaime talking to you as a controller ? Love the channel, watch it almost daily !!!!!!!!!!!!
Love Bryan's purse...
Big fan of Kevin and Jamie and the 310 :)
Bryan (with a Y), I don't think the big green handbag goes with your outfit.
Lol outstanding ending...

Oh man, I'd do that!
Good interview
Next time can we get Eren interviewing Jamie??? :)
I wondered what he looked like without his sunglasses
“Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon,” “Seven Layer Dip...” equals Seven Layers of Kevin Bacon.

Haha! Looks like Christy left something behind.
Yes I have ridden a real beacon too!

What happened to the new plane shot?
Must be weird for Bryan to have more than a couple hundred views.
Hahahahaha!!! 😂
What airport were you referring to with one way in and out? Gaston ??
We gotta fly there...

They say “If it looks good, it flies good”..........What happened here?
Wings -> Nantucket, yes.

NO ! I clicked notifications and always USED to get them but NOW NO notifications at All ! Just replies on email.
Ill keep an eye out for any others with same complaint, but sounds like it might have something to do with your browser?
I do like brian's method of pinning the a-hole comments
