    Just purchased the Qi10 5 wood after a fitting and trying a few other brands. The two overall best numbers for me were with the standard and tour over the max and the ping and cobra. I also love the look at address over the others so glad it got me the best numbers as well. My M2 3 wood remains in the bag as I still smash it.

      What shaft you end up with?

    Exactly nobody on the PGA Tour or LIV playing the Qi10 "Tour". From Rory, Morikawa, DJ, and Scheffler to Fleetwood, Hideki and Wyndham Clark - all the Qi10 Core model. Great to see a review, though

    Wow!! The 3 wood looks really awesome!! The Tour one is very nice and lite. Look very forgiving tho.

    I just got fitted for the QiTour - coming out of the Sim2 3HL which has a draw bias the Tour sets up nice and square and has great feel; picked up 13 yds of carry on avg. (loft is lower so that's expected).

    Is that Speeder along the lines of an Autoflex? Thanks!

      Not really, it is not nearly as flexible, but it is very light so you might be able to swing it faster :)

    I just got the Qi10 3 hybrid and I’m looking to pair a 3 wood with it. I am a mid handicap and a fairly good ball striker. Would you recommend the Qi10 standard, max, or Stealth 2 HD? Price isn’t really a concern. Thanks

    Rory has the standard Qi10 in the bag this week. I’ll be interested to see if he sticks with that or goes to the tour.

      Weirdly enough it seems almost all the tests ive seen almost no difference if not lower numbers from the tour model🤷🏻‍♂️. Seems like the standard qi10 model is the way to go for size and speed

    Kevin, side bar question. You said you are a sweeper.
    I assume you are a sweeper/ picker with your irons. Do you find that type of iron swing does better with middle to slightly thinner soles versus thicker soles?
    Thanks, Joe

    • @kevgk
      @kevgk 11 місяців тому +6

      Hey Joe! Yes, I am definitely a sweeper. Everything except wedges. I’ll put a new sprinkler system in for you with the wedges!
      Traditionally, a sweeper is better suited to deal with thinner soles. Or clubs with less bounce. Like with wedges, too much bounce can get in the way. If you take a sole like Srixon’s V-sole, I could play that alright, but it wouldn’t give me the benefit of how it is designed. That one tends to work really well for those who get into the turf. So, it isn’t that I necessarily do better with the thinner soles, but my swing and AOA accommodate the thinner sole well and allow me to play something like that. And I do!
      Thanks for watching and sharing your questions!

    SHAFTS DON'T INFLUENCE SPIN RATES!! Stop with the misinformation please...everyone. Ball selection, c.g. and strike location have the greatest effect on spin rates. Shafts don't do squat.

    • @steve827
      @steve827 11 місяців тому +4

      This is misinformation… shafts do a lot to influence delivery of the club head , they may not directly effect spin but however they do influence launch and spin due to the way it deflects and effects face angle and loft.. shafts most definitely also effect dispersion plus efficiency
      For a avid weekend golfer that doesn’t care or the golfer that plays infrequently it may not be worth the investment but someone thag plays once or more a week that wants to continuously improve , shafts are a massive part of trusting your equipment and getting the equipment to work correctly for the person

      Shafts indeed influence spin 100%. I moved from my Ventus TR Black to the Ventus TR Blue in the same weight to increase my spin. How does that work? It causes the player to deliver the head differently. So while you're right that THE SHAFT doesn't influence spin, the shaft impacts the players delivery (variables such as dynamic loft, toe droop, etc), which has an impact on spinning the golf ball. True test? Go put your wife's shaft in your driver and get on trackman. Then check out your new spin.
