Hi Terry, excellent video, as always! I love your idea of selecting a piece of fabric to determine the colors for your quilt! I am often overwhelmed trying to find just the right colors when confronted with 100's of bolts of fabrics. Between this idea, and the use of Terial Magic to stabilize the chosen fabrics, you have removed all of the stress out of sewing a large quilt! Thank you!!!!!

Oh yes! And if you don't want to wash it out, it's OK because Terial Magic is not starch...bugs won't eat it:-)

It would be great to see more videos with quilting tips . If taking the quilt to a long arm quilter do you need to wash first or would the quilt top be ready to go? I can’t wait to see more of your videos.
No I do not wash until after the quilting and binding is finished. The Terial Magic actually makes the quilt crisp and easier to quilt. But I will let you know how it went with the long armer in the video on the quilt, which should be out mid Jan. or the beginning of Feb. I have a guest for the January UA-cam and she spritzes fabrics with Terial Magic and makes beautiful greeting/note cards. Can't wait!

Going to order this! Do I spritz and iron before I cut my fabric for quilting?
Could you use this with heirloom sewing? The fabrics are very light weight (batiste, voile). Maybe I could try spritzing it lightly like you did with the quilt blocks. It might cut back on using stabilizer if I can use it on heirloom sewing. Thank you.

Could you use this on wool fabric, such as Pendleton wool?
Yes, any natural fiber responds very well to Terial Magic. It stabilizes hairy and smooth wool beautifully! Takes away those air born fibers, that when cutting, always make me sneeze.
Hi Terry Just wondering if you then wash your quilt ater its done?
Yes, my quilt is at my long armer now, but once it is finished there I will wash it. I love how the washing makes quilts fluffy and enhances the quilting! Do you wash your quilts once they are finished?

@@bevcrouse1205 Hi Bev, Yes, I wash my quilts in my home washing machine, though it is a 4.5 gal. which can wash up to 20 lbs. I have never used color catchers but I will get some for this quilt (thanks for the heads up!) as I don't pre-wash my fabrics and with all the white in it, they make perfect sense. I will post my quilt and a video once it is finished and washed to let you know how it all goes~Terry

I've used this on a couple projects and its great!. But, what would you recommend on how to use Terial Magic on 2 yards of background fabic that I'll be cutting to various sized pieces. Spritz it on the 2 yards before cutting or cut then spritz? Also I will be fusing applique pieces to the background, so would I applique first then spritz?
Sorry this is so late...just recovered from head cold that was awful! I would spritz first, before cutting and applique. I would love to see images of what you are doing, please share!
