- This is another intro to some of our tortoises. We've kept Redfoot tortoises and Greek tortoises for years but never one of the more common tortoises, the Eastern Hermann's Tortoise. In 2020 we decided that sulcatas and leopards weren't the right fit for us so they found new homes making room for Hermann's and Marginated tortoises (Marginated will be in other videos). We started building this Hermann's group last year and have a bunch now of all different ages and sizes. In the video I touched on a ton of info in terms of tortoise care, feeding, light needs, heating, enclosure, etc. Look for future videos where I'll dig into these topics and how I do it. Very nice video. The wee ones look well. We have 3 Adults and 11 young ones. Our’s also love radicchio..lol. We never planned to have this many, We are currently looking to find good caring homes for the young juveniles, But making sure they will get nice homes is hard. we have to change water dish twice a day. All good fun, But I love them..lol

We noticed your Herman likes the neck rubs and the tortoise returns with a nipping gesture, why? Our tortoise does the same, however the nipping is painful.
